Am I the only one who drives a Honda (S2000) but still can appreciate an American V8? What about a German straight six? There is no such thing as the perfect car make/type/brand/build or whatever... Each has their own flaws. And you cannot compare tuned vs stock in any situation. How can you say a turbo S will kill a mustang? Any mustang? I think not. A Cobra with whipple/kenny bell can put out 700whp easily and destroy any S (in the straights :P) SINGLE MINDED = FAIL

it's not uncommon for supras to have high numbers, just order EVERYTHING HKS, have somebody who knows what they're doing build and tune it, and voila, 800hp Supra, one of my friend's drift buddies has a 600BHP Supra, he didn't want it to be too crazy cuz it's a daily driver in the summer, don't ask me for vids or pics cuz i don't have any, but if you searched 800hp Supra dyno on google, or even on here, i'm sure you'd find quite a bit, you just need deep pockets

the thing that makes a centrifugal supercharger work is the fact that it is belt driven, this is clearly exhaust gas driven, the easiest way to tell if it is a centrifugal supercharger or not is if its at the front or rear of the engine it can be belt driven if not its a turbo. it can still be a turbo at the front or the back but it can also be a supercharger
i think we all know turbos are exhaust powered genius, but to answer dudes question, the more exhaust flow you have through the turbo, the more potential it has to spool up and create more boost, but you dont want too much because you will build up to much pressure... but thats where wastegates and blowoff valves come in :) and joshisthegayestwooha20

you can not tune a impreza because your motor is boxer...you will push 2 times the pedal and then you must take care not to become a piston in your head..:P
Justin, you lower compression by a few of many ways. Buying pistons that have a greater piston to deck clearance, pistons that have the higher wrist pin pistons or thicker head gasket. Increasing the bore diameter will INCREASE the compression! Never mind head cc'ing. You are correct that a lower compression ratio is safer for running higher boost, but you have to buy proper pistons to achieve a proper compression ratio that you want.
They are sleeved with something else correct? Because boring the stock sleeves is something that shouldn't be done due to the materials and construction techniques used to make them...
Forced induction is a term used to describe internal combustion engines that are not naturally aspirated. Instead, a gas compressor is added to the air intake, thereby increasing the quantity of oxygen available for combustion. This compressed air is normally referred to as "Boost".
Both a turbo and a supercharger are forms of forced induction. Both accomplish the same feat of stuffing more air into the cylinder. They both provide "Boost". So what you said makes zero sense.
The actual difference is how they are powered. The turbo is spooled via exhaust gas and the supercharger is spooled via a belt driven by the motor. Depending on the size or number of turbos boost can be made virtually instantly using a turbo system. They both accomplish the same task of providing your engine with more air to add more fuel to, to make a bigger boom.
Top fuel has an all carbon fiber s2000, with 871 hp its an f20c1 engine bore stroke to 2.2L, its power by a Garrett 3240 turbo. If you dont belive me heres the site. look it up
that a kind of Garrett GT40R, or a kind da that size, its not good for a 2.0L f20C unless ,over sized by a stroker 2.47 brain crower or inline pro. kit then it can make + 700 rwhp,,,, I love dat kind of a set up...
no. a supercharger or "procharger" is belt driven, this one is right next to the headers and manifold for the exhaust of the engine, making it a turbocharger, which is exhaust driven. Plus, this has an intercooler, which can be seen at the last frame. The guy also had to relocate the battery in order to put it in because it it in the battery's place. If it was a supercharger it would be closer to the front where the serpentine belt is.

i think we all know turbos are exhaust powered genius, but to answer dudes question, the more exhaust flow you have through the turbo, the more potential it has to spool up and create more boost, but you dont want too much because you will build up to much pressure... but thats where wastegates and blowoff valves come in :) and joshisthegayestwooha20

Justin, you lower compression by a few of many ways. Buying pistons that have a greater piston to deck clearance, pistons that have the higher wrist pin pistons or thicker head gasket. Increasing the bore diameter will INCREASE the compression! Never mind head cc'ing. You are correct that a lower compression ratio is safer for running higher boost, but you have to buy proper pistons to achieve a proper compression ratio that you want.

Forced induction is a term used to describe internal combustion engines that are not naturally aspirated. Instead, a gas compressor is added to the air intake, thereby increasing the quantity of oxygen available for combustion. This compressed air is normally referred to as "Boost".
Both a turbo and a supercharger are forms of forced induction. Both accomplish the same feat of stuffing more air into the cylinder. They both provide "Boost". So what you said makes zero sense.

The actual difference is how they are powered. The turbo is spooled via exhaust gas and the supercharger is spooled via a belt driven by the motor. Depending on the size or number of turbos boost can be made virtually instantly using a turbo system. They both accomplish the same task of providing your engine with more air to add more fuel to, to make a bigger boom.

no. a supercharger or "procharger" is belt driven, this one is right next to the headers and manifold for the exhaust of the engine, making it a turbocharger, which is exhaust driven. Plus, this has an intercooler, which can be seen at the last frame. The guy also had to relocate the battery in order to put it in because it it in the battery's place. If it was a supercharger it would be closer to the front where the serpentine belt is.
