Uggh, Cyder, I'm sorry, but that program is terrible. (I guess I'm hating..?) Ofource I loved it, but the side affects made it so you couldn't download from icy, or Cydia. It will download the programs, even if it isn't for your firmware/generation. Then it will put your ipod in safe mode and you will have to uninstall it. BUT, if you have no problems with it, it will slowly add recommendations to your installation in which cydia won't download and it will add and add until you can't download.

The new rock desktop client is not the same as it was. They now have it only for rock apps. With cyder what you can do is get the deb file and then install using ifile or the autoinstall method. I have a video showing you how to do both

You can always go to rock your phone (dot) com and download their rock tool. it is like cyder, but seems to be more stable and have less problems. This will also allow you to backup straight through rockapp itself.

On my other iphone, which is 3.0, i used ultrasnow to jailbreak, and then went to cydia> add "repo666.ultrasn0w . com. So my question was instead of going to cydia and downloading that repo through wifi. Can i download that repo using my pc, and synch that repo using cyder? and unlock it that way?

Im sorry,I should have been more clear...Im just talking about my actual iPod. iTunes finds it automatically, but the actual iPod folder does not show up. I have the folder options to show hidden folders too. When it does show up, it reads my iPod as a digital camera. So, Im thinking that is the reason why Cyder can't find the sources from my iPod.
