  • What do you think about a core2duo E8400@3.6 GHz with a 5850 Xtreme? Will I have a bootleneck or will it run fine? And at 3GHz?

  • @caracolaxel

The combo should work out great for you. Very very minimal bottlenecking, so little you wont even notice it.

  • @caracolaxel i had an core2duo E8800 and its total gay! It blocked my Gtx 560 TI on 30% power! So ultra lags

  • With OC it will work just fine :)

  • how well do you think this cpu can perform by itself? im getting this cpu next week but wont be able to get a graphics card for a while.

  • @MrRusty316

Without a graphics card you wont be able to play many recent games good at all. Even if you had the best processor in the world, you still need decent graphic card to run games.

  • @relicright well right now i have an old 8400gs that has directx 10 support and pentium 4 and i can run battlefield 2 on max settings at 1024/768 with 25 avg fps. with this cpu upgrade how well do u think it can do?

  • @MrRusty316 my god upgrading from a P4 to a 955 will be like going from a mono to 7.1 you will never understand how you played games without it my friend LOVES his in my opinion amd is the best price/preference i dont have a 955 though i got myself a 1090t ( mostly video rendering as a hobby )

  • @JCkido0o i was looking into a 1090t, but needed something a little cheaper. im also upgrading my motherboard(right now i have a crappy dellboard) and ram.

  • would you recomend 955 be??

  • @basketballmylove

thats what this CPU is. very good.

  • a 5850 can play crysis? at what fps cuz i recently got a new pc with a 5850. i can play all games i have at max 1920X1080 Res., best game i have is bfbc2 and that game even looks god player max. but im nto so sure about crysis.

  • @ffinfinity1 youve just watched a video of a 5850 playing a crysis benchmark does that answer your question 'o.O (benchmarks of crysis more powerfull than the game itself as its showing more trees + land and textures and AA has to be used even more then it would if you was in a first person view going down the road

  • 5850 is a beast

  • That's exactly what I'm getting, cool to see it doesn't lag with this great game. Thanks for the vid

  • Haha insane it's 100% my pc system! I just didn't overclock anything.

  • What is this AA changing ??? more laggggggzz ?

  • @danny69petrov

AA makes the game look more smooth and less jagged. sometimes yes it does incur more lag.

  • Name of the soundtrack used??

  • i don't know, some license free song.

  • i need a good case where te 5850 fits in..price about 65 bucks?

  • @LpFr3aK Antec 300

  • how did you overclock your cpu? i tried the bios but i didn't find anything useful. I have a black edition phenomII 965.

  • @louislouis33

you have to utilize the FSB speeds and your clock multiplier. on the bios.

  • I did it :)

Thanks buddy, i overclocked my CPU to 3.6Ghz stable ^^

    Good vid :D

  • @louislouis33 then u should be able to overclock with amd overdrive that comes with amd cpu's

  • @TheFunniestDude

the AMD overdrive software really inst any good at all, and very unstable. Bios is the best way to go.

  • should prolly turn fraps off u might get2-3 frps more lol :)

  • 2,3-15 maybe 20 fps more lol.

  • Hi :) Im thinking about this build tell me what you think about it. CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition Graphics: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X Memory: Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 (1600) Motherboard: Asus Crosshair III Formula AMD 790FX (still not sure about this motherboard) Case: Coolermaster HAF 922 PSU: Coolermaster Silent Pro Modular 700W HDD: 2x Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB PSU Cooler: Zalman CNPS10X DVD-RW: LG GH22LS50 Lightscribe
  • i think its going to be slightly expensive, but cheaper then an intel/geforce combo and more efficient. also, i think you would be able to blow any game out of the water with that.

  • Switch the Crosshair III with the MSI 790FX and Take out the Haf 922 for the Coolermaster 690 II because it would be a better help in the long run, switch the zalman with the coolermaster 212 plus

  • what is your resolution? If its about 1680x1050 then the HD5870 might not be needed. Just buy an 100 buck cheaper less consuming 5850 and OC it.

  • i want to buy almost the same pc system as you, should i get the gtx 260 (core 216) or the 5850? i guess the 5850 is better, am i right?

  • 5850 is muuuuuch better. only reason to buy that g-force is to be a fan boy. but good question.

  • temps ? :)

  • @karlbanan80 cpu run 50c on load with stock cooler and card run around 48 -52c on load.

  • I'm getting those same cpu temps. Are you possibly using a hyper 212 or other high-end cpu cooler?

  • what catalyst control center have you?

  • 9.10

  • dude please make this video to but 1440*900 maxe out without AA please

  • what motherboard do you have?

im going to make a system similar to yours

  • GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P

  • thanks

  • im getting the Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P with the same cpu + graphics card as yours...would it run as good as yours?

  • with the DDR3 i would say you have a chance at a 1-4 fps increase compared to mine. You would have a very nice system.

  • cool, thanks :)

also what psu do you use?

  • i have a sparkle magna 900 watt ps.

  • a good 600w is enough for one of these cards

  • @thirsokewl a good 500 watt is enough for this card. but plan higher if you plan to expand.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice. What is Your mobo and score in 3dmark vantage? I have phenom 9850@3.1Ghz and xfx 5850.

  • i havent tried 3dmark vantage yet but its will come soon.
