  • i love big bowls and i can't not lie xD

  • That. looks. DELISH!

  • There are never left over turkey legs at my house.

  • I'd like to see u on chopped

  • I would loove to se you on "Hells Kitchen"... and with your cooking just stun Gordan Ramey with it! Could be SOOO awesome!

  • isnt that pasta

  • very robust flavor profile indeed

  • GARAM MASALA=Gar-uhm mah-sala.

  • "I like big bowls and i cannot lie.."---> ROTFLMAO!

  • That meat.. Looks so haggard.. Idk how you people can sit there and eat stuff like this, it's just disgusting. It looks like someones regurgitated stomach insides.

  • @Canonpedua12 Mmm... yummy someone's regurgitated stomach insides.

  • @michaelbhs05yb That's exaggeration but that's what it looks like to me. xD

  • Your driving the porn industry out of business Foodwishes!

  • Sir Mix-a-Lot?

  • I made this, it was quite good. Be sure to add plenty of cheese and go easy on the peppers and onions, they will overpower the rest of the food if you use too much bell pepper (from experience of course), if you are making this after Christmas.

  • you posted this before thanksgiving??

  • he makes me laugh,

  • awesome!

  • i like big bowls and i cannot lie

  • this is similar to mac and cheese

  • I just made this with a few changes. I used spam ham instead of the leftover turkey (mine went bad) and I tripled the cheese. It was delicious!

  • sadly i don't have any thank giving turkey so don't have any turkey leftover... but i do like big "bowls"

  • hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaahahah i like big bowls and i can not lie ahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I usually love all your recipes Chef John….your sweet potato casserole is now a permanent fixture for thanksgiving….so it pains me to say I made this dish with my leftover turkey and it was not tasty. The crumbled chips didn't get crunchy and the flavors of the curry and tarragon were not appetizing. Love almost all your recipes and I guess it's natural not to like 1 of them. Happy Holidays!

  • My roux's never come out like that! They always lump together into little flour balls. Am I doing something wrong?? Idk...

  • This is a wonderful recipe! I cooked it tonight and everyone loves it! Thank you!

  • But more nutritious and delicious, than this is a little too complicate. :)

  • We Chinese family like pure all veggie food, you can basically pour the dry flour in, add a very little bit veggie oil, only about a table spoon, then, add pour flour to fry, (we have our medium flexiable original flour--not sure how they make them , but taste better than here, not know why) and then, after fry smell look like good, almost brown or golden color, ready to serve, and add a little bit salt or black pepper. You can save it as package when travel too, mix with warm water. Very simple

  • About curry, I like add it freshly a little bit aside the noodle, not cooking mix with soups, will be more tasty. :) You also can dip it a little bit, really better than kitchen up tomato sauce. :)

  • I really like the curry,it is actually mix with onion, garlic, and many other herbs all in, about 10 herbs, and just add a little bit, not like the Indians , add too much, and it is also can anti-toxic and cancer growing. :)

  • Why this animal has same name as a country? :) Any history story of this is a joke?

  • Looks so good wish I knew what the help ingredients yu use

  • Hot milk makes it so much creamier...

  • There's so much dairy in this dish, Chef John. Gasp.

  • I am SO making this tomorrow with our leftover turkey!! Thank you so much

  • CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You guys really should make this! I prepped it to bake on Thanksgiving, and it is so good (although I didn't have the spices), I was eating it out of the mixing bowl, hahaha!!

  • Comment removed

  • sorry if this seems like a stupid question but what kind of camera do you use? if you get back to me i will be eternally grateful. haha :D

  • you have 1 leg and 1 thigh left??

there is something wrong at your house.

  • LOL Baby Got Back reference!

  • geez...I think I am looking forward to this day after casserole more so than the Thanksgiving Day turkey dinner...

  • Can we use Cream of Chicken soup?

  • the white sause alone is 1000000000000000000 calories

  • wow, nice! instead of adding cracker toppings, i can add mashed potatoes + some butter on top before putting into oven, a la shep pie method :)

  • ...but you're not a rapper.

  • Garam Masala meaning Masala Salt :)

  • I don't need appetizers anymore chef John... thanks to your vids! ;D

  • garam masala yummmmmmm

  • I like big bowls and I can not lie

  • This looks DELICIOUS. But I'm Indian and I would NEVER use "gaRam" masala in this. Still going to make this for left overs though.

  • I want some now

  • omg that looks amazingggg!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • dicklodge made 20 accounts to dislike

  • This looks REALLY good! Up here in Canada we've already had our Thanksgiving (early Oct.), but wait 'til Xmas!

  • u know ive been wondering r u like a gourment cheif or something? cause i remember seeing you in a cheif suit thing

  • yummmmmyyy :)

  • My family loves a good turkey tetrazini after Thanksgiving. Kind of similar to this (not really) and a great option if your kinfolk like Italian.

  • ....Where's the cayenne?

  • holy crap that looks soooo good :)

  • almost like a bechamel sauce...wihout the cream of mushroom of course

  • sweet

  • He likes big Balls! Didnt expect that.

  • i like big bowls and i cannot lie :DDDDD

  • @DickLodge68

no wonder you're name has the word "dick",,,,,,,

  • @candi3xcraz3x yeah baby !

  • @DickLodge68 >:( lol maybe cause he needs to tell directions on how to cook????//

  • @DickLodge68 theres a red crayon?????

    mind = blown

  • @DickLodge68 You obviously don't know the number one rule in life: Never assume random people are intelligent.

  • @DickLodge68 shit man.. u must have a sad life

  • @DickLodge68 are you completely retarded? Chef John is the BEST

  • @DickLodge68 shut your mouth.... hes amazing your the only one in the ENITRE world that doesnt like him. sooo get over it. and dont watch his videos if your gonna say dumbass things. but i shouldnt be suprised considering your name does have dick in it.....

  • @violeteyes14 Funny, I can dislike someone here and simply give my opinion. And then everyone else that obviously disagrees with their opinion tells me to shut up? Name-calling, death-threats, etc. Are you kidding me? I think he's a pompous, condescending ass. You like him...FINE! But then I need to shut up and have people threaten me? Dick Lodge is a stage name I've had for years...it's a fricking joke, get over it! Comments are all about opinions. What a bland world if everyone agreed.

  • @DickLodge68 COOL STORY BRO.

  • @DickLodge68 Saying things like "THIS IS A GREEN BEAN (CHILDREN) NOW WITH YOUR KNIFE CUT THE ENDS OFF" seems like directional lightheartedness to me but that could just be because I've known many people that act, speak and give directions in the same manner.

I think what you're picking up on is his semi-monotone and 'serious' way of delivering his humor- Good example can be found at 3:10 in the video.

I like big bowls and I can not lie, all you other brothers can't deny...

  • @DickLodge68 I think you're hearing things

  • Chef John could you make a vegan recipe? My best friend is vegan and every year I make her a vegan dish for her birthday, but this year I have no idea what to make!

  • Best turkey noodle casserole I've ever tasted. Thank you so much!

  • I always find myself watching your videos when I'm most hungry...

  • I love you Chef John. I want to share a Subways sandwich between us so we can share our moments together, but, then again, you probably make a kick-ass sandwich more awesome than Subway. This is coming from a 16 year old male teen who is hungry for a sub. Please make an awesome sub. Please *sniff sniff*

  • Three looks and sounds so delicious!

  • Chef John have you been listening to sir mix a lot again? :)

  • Am I the only person that doesn't like turkey? *barf*

  • Loooks so GOOD i want to make this : D

  • you said garam masala kinda weird lol

  • WTF!!?!?! i started the song baby got back and you started saying i like big bowls..

    ()_()!! @@@

  • As always soooooo delocious!!

  • Looks so yummy..love ur videos!

  • wait so.. did he already have thanksgiving or something o_o what up with the leftovers already XD

  • Hahaha loved the jokes in this one. Another great video, Chef John. :]

  • Marry ME!. That looks great. thanks for the video :)

  • Why the f*** do i always end up here whenever i´m hungry :<

  • I'm a soup person. Hot and sour or classic chicken noodle soup! So my food wish would be to see ore soup recipes!!! ♥ Oh, and thanks for posting this video! This recipe looks absolutely delicious and I'm planning on making it this weekend! Can't wait! ♥

  • Awesome. I do the chip topping with my tuna casserole - love it!

  • I like the recipe but the Garam masala can it really be substituted with curry powder? Garam masala is ground cardamoms, cumins, mace, cloves and bay leaves... curry powder is a mixture of ground pepper, turmeric, salt, coriander.. they're really different ingredients ...

  • I'm a-ghast that there's no cayenne! :)

  • I have a food wish!

I am a vegetarian that loves tofu but i can't seem to get it cooked as tasty as Chinese and Thai restaurants.

  • Thanksgiving is roux season...

    Christmas is ROUXDOLF SEASON!

  • oh my yumm

  • Can I substitute the hideous cream of mushroom soup with something else?

  • @stevemcblark try cream of chicken if you dont like mushrooms

  • did you make a thanksgiving turkey just so that you can make us all these videos? how thoughtful *sniff*

  • @rainepanda LOL :]

  • @laserthebeam1 its bunch of crabmeat with a crispy sea food topping

  • Nice pronunciation on the garam masala :) and of course the casserole look delicious! Wish I have a Thanksgiving dinner :D

  • I can eat Turkey Noodle soup anytime of the year. I love it when my mom adds in the peppers like in this recipe.Amaaaazeballs!

  • Haha, stop with the old man food! we want food for the youngers!

  • Hey chef john. Nice recipe again, thank you.

Do you have some potato casserole recipes? Like maybe on foodwishes?

  • why do you have to salt the water for the egg noodles? always wondered...

  • @donyario salting the water when making pasta is the best way to make sure its well salted.. you dont want to put salt on cooked noodles O________O"

  • @donyario to flavour the noodles!

  • @donyario Not adding salt would make the noodles bland & no amount of seasoning after the fact will be able to correct it. The salt has to be cooked into the noodles for it to work.

  • No cayenne?

  • @dominomanrocksyeah You dont need it when you use garam masala

  • If you have leftover sweet potatoes you could make sweet potato gnocchi with a maple bacon butter sauce... mmmmm heaven :)

  • ma anaconda dont want none

    unless you got buns hun!

    :D

  • lol!..luv d way say garam masala!

  • why couldn't this have been posted last month..I had plenty of turkey T__T

  • good lord that looks tasty

  • You had turkey already? :D It's not even Thanksgiving yet! :D

  • Im gonna say it because everyone else is saying it... "I like big bowls and I cannot lie"

  • BABY GOT BACK!!!

  • can i do this with the roast chicken they sell in the supermarkets?

  • I finally know what to do with those nasty chip crumbs....!!

    Thanks Chief !!

  • Oh god the looks so Good!!!

  • This one looks so good I have share it with my Facebook crew! I agree, too, it is roux season. Great tip on the flour. ps... mushroom soup rocks and you are a ninja for adding garam masala :-)

  • "I like big bowls and I cannot lie!" I am dead.

  • Chef John I am your number 1 fan in Texas for years now. Please do a cheese souffle. You simplify everything. Love all your videos.

  • Another winner Chef...thanks a bunch - and Happy Thanksgiving!

  • i really should stop watching Chef John's video when i can't sleep at night

  • no more cassarole pls

    make some pizzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • That hotdish would cause a riot at any midwestern church supper! Yummy!

  • Chef John u should be a food porn star

  • Can anyone help?

In our home we don't eat turkey, does anyone have any alternatives? Maybe like a beef recipe? Thanks :)

  • @pixiedust2160 You could use the same recipe with ham, beef, chicken, or no meat at all. Casseroles are easy recipes where you can add anything in your fridge and somehow they still come out tasting awesome.

  • When he said, '...and while it comes to a simmer, we're gonna add stuff,' I internally threw my hands up and said 'WOO STUFF!'

  • I am always in utter disbelief whenever Chef John announces the featured dish but I am quickly reassured when he says "thats right!" and I realize that this culinary adventure will indeed be taking place over the next several minutes.

  • where's the "eat" button?

  • wheres the cayenne?

  • OhmyGod. It's 2.22am and all I want to do is eat this.

  • needs more meat.

  • Chef Cooks-a-lot.

  • YUUMMM!!!For more Thanksgiving fun search the "Thanksgiving Rap by The Regulars Band."

  • looks damn yummy

  • roux season or roo season? cos I like a bit of kangaroo...

  • I like big bowls and i can not lie !

  • this recipe fails without cayenne pepper :P just kidding

  • DAYUMMMMM CHEF JOHN

  • *looks at video screenshot and crumples*

  • Looks yummy and fairly cheap to make although my friend marys recipe for white sauce differs from yours. She just uses milk, flour, butter, garlic powder, black pepper, and onions... But yours sounds good. Garam masala is like curry so I'm sure I'll like it

  • That looks.. SO GOOD... I'm banging my head on my computer desk because I have nothing to eat and I'm starving! UGH.

  • Crunchy well-done bits are mouthgasmic

  • garam masala in... casserole? eww.

  • my bowl is pretty big, youd like it

  • I'm surprised of you Chef John, why so much dark meat in the leftovers?

  • I'm imagining I can skip the garam masala, the red&green bell peppers, and use a cheese that isn't spicy and this would still be delicious?

  • Guyss, it's a little fatty cuz...... we like big buts and we cannot lie!!

  • i like big bowls and i can not lie lol...

  • LOL "I like big bowls and i cannot lie"

  • "Things that are topped with tasty potato chip crumbs are never bad"
