I have another solution to the graphical problem (without having to install anything). 1.Fire up the game 2.alt + tab out of the game 3.ctrl + alt + delet to task manager and choose processes 4.Find explorer.exe and hit 'end process' 5. alt + tab back in the game to get back to normal: 1.alt + tab back to task manager 2.choose file -> 'new task(run...)' 3.write 'explorer.exe' and execute/click ok the reason why you exit explorer.exe has to do with the aero theme settings = mess upp the game

Take the source code, improve the game engine to run smoothly even on the internet, add attack move and put up servers.

-Perfect game with little effort. AoE2 rocks, time doesn't make balanced and magnificent RTS games worse.

How to fix colour issues in vista and windows 7:

Right click your desktop and open the Screen resolution window,

Leave the window open

Launch the game

It should now have normal colours

@MegaGreenDragons - install virtual pc 2007, open it, make a new virtual machine. select windows xp from the list, ram minimum 256 mb. then start virtual machine, use your windows cd and install windows xp inside that virtual machine. and then install the game like you always do.

I've got this, its awesome but on Windows7 the water and ground has a strange texture, its kinda purple and red. Its playable but I don't use maps with huge amounts of water on it.

Try this!

1. Change the picture of your desktop background...Try using some picture of yours, but do not use the windows 7 default backgrounds; otherwise it won´t work.

2. Click with the right buttom on your desktop background and pick "screen resolution". Let the window open!

@Crazystick5125 Hey, I know how to fix this horrible problem. First, Hit Control = Alt = Delete, go on processes, and then end explorer.exe... The taskbar will disappear, to get it back on when you are done, hit control alt delete again and then hit new task and then type in explorer

I liked the Britons before the expansion, but they just weren't any good. With the expansion is a whole different story. The longbowmen actually do what their name suggests. Out-Range everything.

@AnarchistGoth The korean civilization is really bad when it comes to military, I have never seem to cracked the code when it comes to the korean military strategy. The units are all scattered out and their special unit doesn't do any justice.
