how many panels are there, and what is the average power production of the plant please. would this be a good idea in a desert area, where one can use the arid landscape to produce megawatts?

@fisioserv There are 13,496 high efficiency panels. The system is rated at 4.1MW and is expected to produce over 6,200,000 kWh per year. A ground mounted solar array would certainly work in a desert.
