I love her voice, and I know this was from when she was 16, but I wish she didn't try so hard...

She reminds me of Jessica Simpson in that way: Great voice and great potential if she wouldn't scream and force her voice. Take lessons, get coaching and use your voice in the correct way. Over forcing and screaming like she does here doesn't sound good. I know WJ is a "star" (not really), but she should be natural and singing the song normally, and she's not doing that here. I still love her voice.

She still does this type of forcing her voice on her Solo CD AND LIVE... Even years later... Just like Jessica Simpson.. But Janet has a better voice.

Why does she feel the need to scream to get to high notes? Take classes, lessons and coaching. That's the problem these days with singers and labels. Label don't properly train them before they record and they don't know how to sing properly so they sound bad. Why do you think there's so much autotune these days on every singer's album?
