In the first Crash Bandicoot, you CAN jump on carnivorous plants, and spinning them is very difficult. Also, the Jungle Rollers do not do Instant Kills.

@ClassicTeam I really consider this game to be the hardest of the Playstation 1 series. I beat it 2nd cuz I beat 3 but didn't have 2 so yeah. Lots of unforgiving jumps and timing, cheap falls and especially some enemies that can really catch u off guard, the bosses aren't so bad though. Putting it shortly, this game can be BRUTAL, BUT I LOVE IT! XD

i love the old crash games especially the first three but i reckon when it went wrong was Crash Team Racing the first racing game which stemmed off Crash Nitro cart which follow Twinsanity and then the tag team racing and then of course those weird mutant games they changed the characters, story and are just not good, a lot like the spyro games original were awesome these new eternal night, dawn of the dragon and ugh people really know how to ruin a childhood game TT_TT

Playing this game with a joystick isn't possible, even with the console. The Dualshock 1 controller with the analog sticks wasnt made when this game came out. you can only use a D-pad a. k .a keyboard directional buttons anyway.

Your emulator also seem to have a memory card installed.

@GrubRising13 Yep. It's kinda strange. I don't get that feeling that often, even though I mostly play old games (most of which, I grew up with). Maybe it's because I've kept playing them, so the memories aren't as...prevalent? Anyway, this one was different because I hadn't touched this game since 2001 or so. Throughout the LP I mention a few things I remember. :)

@enigma273 I'm not sure, but I remember being able to play this game WAAAAAAY Back when on a old iMac from 1999 using a commercial Emulator. It should run decently on anything made within the last 8 years. :)

But...this is on a PC. Is this a kind of ROM? Or what? I don't really understand how you're playing this on a computer. I think in one of your later videos, you're using a game pad for PC.

@SimplerThoughts I'm using a ISO (A Compilation of all of the files of the game disk in one easy to use package) on an emulator called ePSXe. So ya, this is emulated. :)
