Beware of rapture doctrines because the word does not exist in the bible. It is a dangerous teaching and leads believers to the anti christ. mat 43:40 Those who Stay working in the field are saved not the other way around!. The false Christ comes first!.
Actually, the great tribulation is NOT the wrath of God. God's people will be in the great tribulation, then towards the end of the tribulation there is a rapture, and then God's wrath is poured on the earth.
Remember, brothers and sisters, to teach with love. For when you teach with love, and not with accusations, you are being imitators of Jesus. For Jesus did not go out and get after people for misinterpretations or misjudgments. Instead He corrected by lovingly and gently teaching the Word. And there is an Accuser already here, Lucifer, fallen morning star. Don't be like him.
and Jesus said the rest - where I am, you may be also. Yes, Jesus referred as being in heaven while on the earth - we reside in heaveny places now. So, for silly sake, we enter in through much tribulation. Just don't lose your faith then while we go through the great tribulation because some foul mouth minister messed you up. We have the testimony of Jesus to go through tribulation. Have
no faith he will take us through? Why should you escape? Jesus said pray that you might escape through.
The Lord never said that He takes us to Heaven after He comes and receives us. Neither does Paul. Don't add to Scripture. Those souls "under the altar" haven't been resurrected yet. They will most definitely "meet Him in the air". I'm surprised that you haven't realized that there are no saints worshipping around the throne in Revelation 5:11. That's supposedly AFTER the infamous pretrib rapture of Revelation 4:1 (which doesn't say it either), isn't it?
@tumordoctor Tumordoctor, hope all is well. Paul says that our conversation is in heaven. Our citizenship is in heaven. We are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. I almost forget, In my Fathers house are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you that where I am there you will be also. Just few pointing to our destination being in the heavens.
@tumordoctor Tumordoctor, hope all is well. Paul says that our conversation is in heaven. Our citizenship is in heaven. We are seated with Christ in heavenly places. @TheGrace4all It doesn't say that we're seated there. For that matter, Paul would have been excluding still living believers:
Ephesians 1:3- "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:"
So we have to be in Heaven in order to have "spiritual blessings"? Do you see the point?
@tumordoctor seems like he's talking about the spiritual realm to me which is here also are we assuming that spiritual blessings are gifts such as tongues, casting out demons? If so why would you need that ability in heaven. I'm sure we'll still have that ability but it would seem pointless in perfect heaven.
JHMH, please show where the Lord promised us that we'd be spared tribulation. Books, chapters, and verses. Read 2 Cor 4:11: (KJV) 2 Corinthians 4:11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
@tumordoctor Why don't you read the Bible instead of watching misleading tapes & listening to those who don't read their Bible either. Those killed during the Great Tribulation that STARTS in Rev. 6:1 (with the opening of the 1st Seal) NEVER meet Christ in the air. Revelation 20:4-6 is very clear. They are "resurrected", NEVER GO TO HEAVEN; they NEVER receive a Crown, they NEVER see the Coronation of Christ, they NEVER go to the Weding Supper of the Lamb. You may miss everything, but I won't.
Post the verse where John catches a "glimpse of the rapture". Secondly, do you believe that "the last trump" is at a pretrib rapture? If so, go ahead and explain the trump which is blown in Matthew 24:31 when the Lord comes back AFTER the tribulation.
@tumordoctor Revelation 4:1-5 Listen, you go ahead and live through the Tribulation Period. That's fine with us if that's what you want to do. Jesus comes for His Church, His "called, chosen & FAITHFUL followers", His Bride, His Holy Ones, His Saints, who Love & Accept Him. If you don't believe His promises, that's your problem. If you enter into the Tribulation Period, you'll never see Heaven anyway. Those killed during the Tribulation get "resurrected" after Christ comes back. Rev. 20:4-6
People just love adding to or twisting Scripture. Who is actually called "up hither" in Revelation 4:1? John. What does Scripture say about adding to the prophecy of Revelation 22?
(KJV) Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
@tumordoctor The Apostle John is called up to Heaven, so he can record all that he is going to see. That is also a glimpse of the Rapture & what it will be like. There's a loud command, the angel will shout, then the "trump of God" the dead "in Christ" rise 1st, then we who are alive are changed. We & the resurrected dead meet The Lord in the air, then go to the Father's House. After the Rapture, many people will come to Christ. They will either be killed or alive when we come back WITH Jesus
@rolling422 The difinition of Doctrine is the interpretation of scripture. Doctrine is the virtue of interpretation. You seem to have it a little wrong here.
Can someone explain to me why people think that there will be this "great tribulation" in the future and how do we know that we are not already in these trials?
It's just funny because Jesus never really mentions the exact nature of the tribulation other than that it will be such as the world has never seen. But is this just meaning that we will be persecuted, or does it mean as the word implies, that we will be tried.
@LivingHopeWorshiper God begat Jesus, which means he has all the characteristics of God, making him God. But, God is clearly the father and Jesus the son. The only way that God could beget someone that could be called his son is that the son be perfect, like his father. Therefore is Jesus the same as his father and yet is clearly a separate entity. For example Jesus said that none no the end of time except the father, meaning that God knows something that his son does not.
@TangerineGroovin I may be wrong but I think Jesus as God the Son knows! It was likely that knowing the exact rapture time was part of His glory He left behind in heaven (with the father) as He became man, born in the flesh. In Isaiah, the bible also called Him "the everlasting Father, prince of peace and Emmanuel" - God with us). So I think as He went back to heaven to acquire His glory and power He had with the Father, He is aware also of this exact time.
no rature, a new age lie, 1 corn 15 ; xplains clearly that we will be gathered up at the " last" trump, so count..we go thru all the other trumps first, Christ said we will so dont listen to the false ones he said would come, wake up
@woodowl003 You are confusing the "Trump of God" (1Thessalonians 4:14-18) with a trumpet blown by an angel. The "last trump" that Paul could be talking about was a series of trumpet blasts (like when an important person enters a room). In Rev. 4:1-4, John hears a voice "sounding like a trumpet". He goes to Heaven and sees 24 elders with their crowns. In v10 they lay their crowns before the Lord. No one gets a crown until all Believers are in Heaven and then we also get our crowns.
So what exactly is the rapture and how serious is this in a theologian view?. I saw also wiki and I didn't understand much.?. However I must say that even I am not a believer in general. Chuck Missler combines in a very good way science and believe. I am not say that I believe him, but I give credits to his abilities.
Another scare tactic to get Christians to believe the false deception being preached. There is know scriptural evidence of a Rapture before the Great Trib. There is no need for a rapture when you have the power to resurrect from the dead. remeber John he was beheaded because of what he believed but he stood firm so people don't get caught up on the rapture theory because The Father Yahuwah has the power to resurrect.
Gospel of the Kingdom of God: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. . . 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
followhimtolife :to seek healing in sickness is wise-- To seek healing as a believer is the most stupid thing to do. First you twarth god`s plan. He made you sick. Why would you seek healing, when that undescribable bliss is waiting you beyond the grave ?
To my understanding God doesn't create sickness, death and sickness are results of the curse on mankind from the fall of Adam. Gen 3:19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground; for out of it u were taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.
Alas it's sad to say it, but it is going to take the Tribulation for many who trust more in man and who care more about the riches of this world then about God to put them "so-to-say" at the foot of the wall so that they have no choice but to say who do they stand for... Sad,sad. But here is the good news: you don't have to go through that IF you are in Christ! And in a way, when all will be said and done, these unfortunate folks will realize how close they came to going to hell!
While Christians can rejoice in the deliverance we have from death through Christ (1 Corinthians 15:55-57), do not forget the cost of that deliverance: the only innocent man ever to have lived had to die to save all the guilty ones (2 Corinthians 5:21).
In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Philos - No believer would commit suicide because their spirit would proceed to Hell immediately. There is no chance of redemption. To commit suicide is to deny God's plan for us [to live in paradise]. God loves everybody but only believers will go to their heavenly reward by perservering against all trouble and persecution and holding their hope in our Lord Jesus Christ's promise.
First, show me the statistics which can prove these 'believers' were believers.
Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and ... And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
If believers are truly believers, they cannot commit suicide unless they discontinue believing in Christ. Suicide is the premeditated murder of oneself, which make it sin. Saints of God, are kept by the power of God, they cannot sin (1John3:9) because they are born of God. Saints who commit suicide commit sin, therefore commit themselves to Satan, and eternal damnation.
followhimtolife:they cannot commit suicide unless they discontinue believing in Christ .If you truly believed, when you are sick, you should not seek help, but accept god`s will and god`s plan and not postpone that undescribable bliss beyond the grave. That`s logic. But you cling to life, like the most ardent non-believers. WHY ?
This is an absurd point of view, to seek healing in sickness is wise, even divine healing which i have experienced in the presence of God. To deny Christ to save your life is unwise. It is better for me to stay here for now, even if i become ill. I shall depart when it is my appointed time or when He returns.
Allow me to add that the grace of God is received by faith all throughout the scripture. You may want to check your belief against, Heb 6:1-8; 10:26; John 15:5-6 and John 3:16-21. And further study on the Greek word for believe (pisteuo). In reality, no one in the hand of God would do such a thing, (epistle 1John). I'm sorry if this is personal; but I am concerned with truth and justice as well as Love and mercy.
followhimtolife, Saints of God "can" sin. David sinned, Noah sinned, Peter sinned. Read and understand Romans chapter 6. The sin nature doesn't die to the beleiver but we are to die to the sin. Rom 6:15-16 Shall we sin b/c we arent under the Law but under Grace? God Forbid, whom you yeild yourselves to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or obedience unto righteousness
I would have to agree and disagree. Yes saints can sin. But we should not want to. The part I disagree in part about is " the sin nature doesn't die". Because of what Galatians 5:24 says. Now i agree that not all Christians walk in the grace to which they are called, this is very evident; nevertheless we are called to death and resurrection. we ought to learn to be crucified with Christ, like Paul said he was. wonderful comment by the way. :)
"live with expectation...": the belief in God is what GIVES US HOPE; no wonder so many commit suicide with the Evolution theory that is now being taught! How can you hope when you are taught you have no purpose and when you are told your birth was "random" and the result of a faceless evolution???
Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. IF therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

followhimtolife, Saints of God "can" sin.
