Magnificent Bernhard!! Your are an awesome organist! Your energy and passion for the music and organ is amazing. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. :o)
Lieber KB7777777.
Bloody brilliant! Did I notice a slight mistake on the trill at the very end? Whatever, this has been one of my favourite pieces for decades and you have certainly pulled it off 100%. You're a REALLY talented organist. Perfect and true registration/tempo too in my opinion -- the way JS himself would like to have heard it :-)
Nicely played, but please don't stress the second note in the pedal jumps, but rather the first. You're doing this cosequently and it sounds weird somehow. Have fun!
The most recent research since the Berlin wall came down and we have acces to sources that were unavailable for years, now suggests that bach used toes. I know it is hard to change years of what we thought was right, but once the evidence is in, some things have to change. Anyway the most important thing is musicality, and this has that.
I'm not sure, it could just be my ears, but that organ sounds really sharp...or tuned above 440. Other than that good job. Its such a hard piece to play...

@KB7777777
Your tempo sounds fine to me. Not at all too fast.
Presto is about 168–200 bpm
Vivace is about 140bpm
Your tempo is only 1/4= 96 !

I love when people play Bach "straight." 99% of the time, I feel that the very cool harmonic rhythms get blurred by "romantacizing" the phrasing.

By not bad for a hobbyist, of course, he means outstanding. That you can play Bach's pedal lines is a mark of real talent. Bravo!

I speak for Johan Sebastian Bach and I say that this interpretation is pretty damn good. My music should not be played by wimpy organ players.

what would JS Bach say after listening to your interpretation?
reviver4dream 3 years ago
wonderful - i never heart such a goog interpretation - i play the pice so fast too, but you have charisma ;-)
i think bach where been very amused ;-)

So well played.
Such spirit and joy and skill.
Bravo.
If I attempted your tempo, I'd probably hurt myself.
Where is the wonderful fugue?
Thank you so much.
