Yep ----- I kinda dislike you too --- but I remember every time I turned the ignition on my 1970 Boss 302 ///// it gave me a reason to keep learning my trade .. It's not that I hate the Shelby --- but give me a break --- it could'nt even lick my Mustangs mufflers.The clickity clack of the solid lifters could keep a person hard for days.

The Shelby at idle leaves me cold.The eco boost is a step in the right direction.

not sure on the GT500 but the normal GT weighs only 3,533 lb. And the Camaro's are over 4,000. And just wait till 2011 when the Mustang will get new engines. The 3.7 v6 puts out 273 hp @ 6250 rpm. And the new 5.0 v8 puts out 400 hp. Look out camaro's.

I prefer GM over Ford, but the GT500 looks pretty sick. I was cruising in my RX8 and one was driving beside me. Even at low down revs in high gear I could hear the supercharger as he touched the throttle a little to pass some people. It may be slower than most of its competition, but its not a slow car by any means and definitly has looks and style to back up its price tag.

I hope this doesn't sound combative, but what competition are you talking about? The GT500 doesn't have any real competition yet. Not until the Challenger, Camero and such step up to the plate. If you mean the Corvette, Viper, or Porsche. These cars should not be considered competition. These are pure sports cars, which I don't consider the GT500 to be. Just my thoughts...

Hmmm. No I suppose it doesn't have any competition. Its good that you recognize the GT500 isn't really a sports car. The new Camaro SS looks promising however. It posted a 13 flat quarter mile while not having ideal grip. There's rumors going around of a Z28 returning too, but I wouldn't expect that until much later when GM can see if the new Camaro is selling well enough to start a project like the Z28.

I like the fact they're bringing back a factory color from 1968-69. The brighter blue with the white accents really set it apart. Also, the new Hurst Challenger (Stage IV) is real mean.

I've been a GM guy ever since I was young, but I'll tell you the Camaro's problem, just like any other GM (the exception being the Corvette)...the interior. It'll be tacky and cheaply put together.
