  • Justin was awesome in the movie. He played his role like a real sniveling corporate business man. Sure it's no Gordon Gecko, but it's still very enjoyable to watch considering roles he's done in the past and how he transitioned into a ultimately fitting role.

  • Justin Timberlakewas playing that kind of guy... he was fine... c'mon!!!

  • This movie was absolutely amazing. Personally, I loved Andrew's performance the best. Can't wait for the Spidey movie next year!

  • Wow, I can't believe they dissed Justin Timberlake's performance. He was spot-on.

  • 97 %?! REALLY? NOTHING HAPPENED!!!!

  • Screw this review, this movie wasn't "too" dramatic!

  • the movie was amazinng and i would recommend it for sure

  • @forevaneva97 some times movies based on website cloud be nit-picky like video games and something like that. but if you research the whole Facebook thing you shooed know it in the 1st please. its a relay great movie but its not Oscar wining material thew so yeah

  • The female "reviewer" needs to go review some dicks. As in penises. She'd be much better at it.

  • I don't know what everybody is talking about. This movie was truely terrible and I don't recommend it to anybody. I literally had to force myself to watch the whole thing.

  • @7berriesandcream good for you. Now go watch Transformers 6 1/2: Revenge of The Last Machine

  • they made it seem like an okay movie when it got 97% this movie was fucking fantastic

  • terrible review good movie though andrew garfield was for sure the sleeper hit in the movie

  • the worst review ever

  • I thought that this movie was kind of overrated. Don't get me wrong, the acting was great, but I just don't think that this was something that should have been made in to a movie. There really didn't seem to be a plot/conflict. At the start of the movie, they're in a lawsuit. At the end of the movie, they're still in the lawsuit. The conflict never seemed to build up; it just kind of sat there and simmered.

  • @jumptoit3 you obviously know nothing about anything.

  • @YourOpinionIsGarbage What a lovely username. I see that you go around trolling at people who don't have the same opinion as you. Lovely.

  • "Ebert Presents At the Movies" > "The Rotten Tomatoes Show"

Oh, and use REAL film critics!

  • i DON'T listen to Timberlake but i think he did a awesome job

  • Rotten Tomatoes is retarded.

  • this was a breakthrough role for justin timberlake......you guys suck as reviewers.

  • @clemenza1234 you douche...you probably dont have a facebook...you must have a myspace

  • 97%? wow... this deserves less.

it was interesting but nothing that should be worthy to be an oscar-nominated-movie

  • Anyone who is consciously capable of understanding the true art in film can appreciate, The Social Network. The literary, theatric, and cinematic elements are intelligently worked out and while watching the film, people can realize the attention to detail in every scene. Not to mention, the films revolutionary use of contemporary music to add more depth to the film. Everything is well presented, and intelligent, observational people would be able to realize that.

  • they always undermine great films

  • these people seem to forget just how arrogant Sean Parker is. i think the performance is on target, but i am also pretty damn arrogant.

  • they didnt even mention the awesome soundtrack.

  • The fucker network

  • fucking love this movie!

  • I didn't like this movie.

  • @tattoomylips Trollin, trollin, trollin

  • Movie of the year for me, Inception comes very very close - but this is a film that had true dialogue, those who appreciate true dialogue and tight script writing will enjoy this.

  • This movie was stupid...

  • I loved this move, but my wife hated it. I worked at Data General in the 80's when it was the hottest company in the computer industry, and a book called Soul of a New Machine was written about it's breakthrough product. I left Data General after the meltdown, went To Digital Equipment during it's heyday, left again during another meltdown. Facebook is great but WATCH OUT......you never know what's lurking around the corner and who might ruin your business.

  • @Jackalofdeath What do you mean Jesse Eisenberg always plays a character that's a prick. If anything he is constantly playing a nerd. I think that he always uses the same style in acting, but I don't think I've ever seen him in a movie where he plays a prick, besides this.

  • terrible movie

citizen kane / there will be blood, type movie ,

typical hollywood depiction of a rich person's lifestory, try to make it 2deep4u type ending, and just ends up taking itself too seriously, the roles are not good, the main character always plays roles of a huge prick

  • @Jackalofdeath Funny how you mentioned two of the greatest movies of all-time in your little rant there. I wish there were more "Citizen Kane / There Will Be Blood- type movies".

  • Im actually very excited to watch this one! It sure sounds good ..

  • these critics are too young to be experts

fuck they look like high schoolers

  • @dannygla818 you sound like a high schooler

  • Scripteddddd

  • Timberlake was good in my opinion. Although, i don't think Sean Parker was as smirky or cool/smooth as Timberlake depicts him.

  • hey! is that joseph mozzelo (or however its spelt) from simon birch at 2:10?

  • @MrWwefan15 he was better looking back then

  • @thehappyhippyo0 he was ....13

  • @MrWwefan15 cool

  • yeah im going to bring my popcorn to a 3 minute video

  • I wouldn't give this movie 97 %... But I would DEFINENTLY rate Eisenberg's performance 100 %.

  • I always liked the site rotten tomatoes but after these clips I don't trust their opinions, how can they rate this movie 97%?!?!?!? WHAT THE FUCK and why don't they use REAL CRITICS?

  • female host had nothing relevant to say. Guy wasn't much better. Here's an idea, if you're a show for Rottentomatoes, why not get actual film critics to host it instead of people that would be better suited to "stuff like gossip girl" as female host would put it.

  • @radiolocke are you criticizing her for being a female, or criticizing her for her irrelevance?

  • @SkyBreeze11417 female

  • this isn't a proper review.

what kind of people watch a movie like this and have absolutely nothing interesting to say about it?

  • Ellen is so transparent! First she said it wasn't that good, then after Brett exclaimed his "love" for it, she said she thought it was pretty good...

If you have an opinion, keep it. Don't change it because someone else has a different one!

  • that movie's CRAP!

i couldnt even stand the first 20 minutes

  • Resident film experts? Please! Do you guys know ANYTHING about cinema?

  • These guys are tools

  • THe freakin girl dosent understand shit about any of the movies they reviewed

  • This was THE coolest movie in a long time. It was so engaging, with a cast that knew perfectly well what was expected of them. Hope it wins a bunch of Oscars, at least the adapted screenplay category.

  • im sorry, i know everyone has their own opinions on things, but these reviewers know nothing. this movie was great and its about success, not just about facebook. read into sean parker, he was an ass and yes, he totally fucked himself out of 3 big name companies. i think J.T. did a wonderful job in this movie. as for Jesse Eisenberg & Andrew Garfield, congrats to both of them; they were the backbone and the reason this movie was as successful as it was :)

  • 97%?? jesus christ, wtf is wrong with this world!!

  • @Hessianoct Yeah, should've been 100%.

  • the female reviewer is totally clueless

  • @Siladh1el she's still pretty =D

  • timberlake did a great job because he was a sarcastic asshole and thats exactly what he was supposed to be. i really wanted to just tell him to go fuck himself during most of the movie lol

  • LOL, that asian chick from disney turned crazy and burned a scarf

    But great movie though

  • as much as i want to because off all the praise i cant seem to bring myself to see this movie. facebook, dont have one, never will has done more harm than good, just look at the stats or just go to a library (preferably college)and count how many people are on it. if you agree please let me know so i know i am not alone in my view haha

  • Too dramatic? What's that bitch talking about? Some college kids create a multi-billion dollar empire out of thin air in a few years. How the fuck WOULDN'T that be the most dramatic shit ever?

  • @elchoaro800

OMFG, give me the logarithm, characters start Jizzing over a fucking method to rate girls on line.

The guy starts writing it on the window with a pen.

    WAY over dramatic.

Everyones like WTF FTW OMFG THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT FAAAAACEBOOOK JIZZZ JIZZZ JIZZZ!!!

    I USE FACEBOOK.!!!!!!!!!

What they don't realize is this is an significantly flawed and cinge-worthy movie.

    Dialogue was sometimes excellent though...

    Overall this film is UNREMARKABLE.

  • @lordzebdeh Your pathetic obsession with jizz aside, the fact is that this movie is about people far more intelligent and articulate than you doing something remarkable. I guess it's inevitable it would go over stupider people's heads...

  • @elchoaro800

It doesn't mater if they did something remarkable or not. I'm critiquing the "unconvincingness" of particular scenes (for lack of a better word).

I'm also highlighting the fact that this is a very overrated film, and receives much of its acclaim for being "current". Do you agree?

Did you enjoy the film. Why?

  • @lordzebdeh This movie isnt only about facebook. It is about people doing the things they have to do in order to be successful in life. That sometimes, the price of fame is betraying your friends, stealing other people's ideas and being a total asshole. If you think this message is insignificant and unremarkable, I wonder what kind of passive and mundane life you live.

  • Eisenberg and Garfield are amazing in this movie. Loved Mara's character, too. AMAZING SCRIPT, soundtrack, etc. Wish it wins all its academy awards nominations.

  • wow they have shit in their eyes at rotten tomatoes or what ??? everybody agree to say that timberlake is fantastic in TSN

  • i was somewhat confused watching this, inception made more sense to me lol

does mark zuckerberg talk that fast like jesse eisenberg?

  • I just watched the social network and no Justin timberlake. Is no chuck bass fuck you ellen. You synical bitch

  • @CanaAlyce

    synical

    synical

    synical

    synical

  • 1:06 Heisenberg face is always immobile.

  • wow what a dumb bitch! the movie clearly gets a 97 which is outstanding and wins the golden globe for best picture! and shes like "uhhhh i guess its worth seeing? i dont maybe...yeah see it if you want" wow fuck you! its clearly the best movie of the year

  • i like how it got a 97 and they were just like it's worth seeing. a 97 sounds like a must see

  • Justin Timberlake did a great job playing Justin Timerlake.

  • I love Andrew Garfield! He did amazing in the social network and I can't wait to see him as spider man.

  • I hate Justin Timberlake, and i thought he was great in this movie.

  • I'll be right back, I feel the need to watch the pacific all of the sudden :P

  • WAS BRET IN A COMMERCIAL FOR THE CAR "JUKE"?

  • Quantin Tarantino didnt like it! haha

  • i hated this "movie" it seemed like a documentary in school that u would always fall asleep to but only it doesnt teach you anything. my rating: this "movie" is POINTLESS

  • these people seem to nitpick every unnecessary things in movies. i thought everyone including Timberlake was amazing (except Brenda Song..she was great, but not amazing).

I hate Facebook, yet i loved this movie.

  • @expIorer5148 it's there job... they are movie critics... retard

  • If you are on FaceBook, you have NO LIFE.

  • I swear to God every good movie Ellen doesnt like

  • I think it's over hyped. Black Swan, True Grit, Inception, and Shutter Island were much better films to me

  • God I didn't enjoy The Social Network. But I looked at the reviews and all the people responded with the film on a really deep deep deep level - maybe i just couldn't do it that way.

  • that bitch has no idea what she is talking about, Timberlake actually did a surprisingly good job. he played the part his character ws meant to and its certainly the best movie since There Will Be Blood

  • I hope Andrew Garfield will be nominated for oscar in a supporting role for this film. He did an amazingly well-acted performance and he's very cute indeed! As for Eisenberg, well he's SUPERB!

  • I heart Ellen. She's sexy, and smart, and funny, and a really intelligent critic. (Marry me.)

  • @ronron86 fuck offf ( : ???? <3 <3

  • Ellen is a dumbass, Social Network Rocked!!!!!!!!¡

  • i still think justin timberlake is better acting than singing well if you can call that singing

  • i hate commercials

  • timberlake is brilliant!!!!

  • I Disagree with them, I think Justin Timberlake did an awesome job.

  • @TexasTimmy777

i agree.. i think he played that role really well.It made me hate him during the movie. so i thought he was good.

  • @TexasTimmy777

I agree, I met Parker by accident and though I can't say whether or not he is the dick that the movie makes him out to be he is as sophisticated and swauve and convincing as Timberlake plays him....

  • @TexasTimmy777 Yeah, the complaints they made are just about the character. He's supposed to be a bit of a douchebag.

  • @TexasTimmy777 So true, its funny, these two consider themselfs as experts.. for fuck sake... this review is bullshit... apart from the fact that yes, its a great movie... most of the statements are ridiculous, but whatever...

  • @TexasTimmy777 Timberlake's character was perfect in the movie. They're dumb

  • Gotta Love Jesse Eisenberg! ;)

  • The guy on the right looks like Jim from the office

  • @calerenteuber Ohh my God. I was going to say the same. weird!

  • @myhunter15 not as much as u

  • I want the old rotten tomatoes back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • screw their reviews .... ellen looks hot !

  • Get the best facebook layouts here clickad.info

  • FUCK YOU CURRENT I WANT ROTTENTOMATOES BACK!

  • Awesome movie. Actually one of the best movies in 2010.

    But the review booooriiiinng

  • resident film experts...rigghttt

  • "Bosnia.. they don't have roads but they have Facebook."

Was one of the lines of the film I didn't like (there were not many). The script was brilliant. But that line was so cheesy.. Wasn't needed.

And whats the chicks problem? If a movie tries to dramatise itself then maybe it isn't so dramatic?

wtf? A dramatic movie is a dramatic movie. It was a very compelling story and the best movie I've seen this year so far.

  • @Svetsarkirurgen va fan heter hon ens hon e ju fan helt jävla dum i huvudet

  • boring show..... ..movie looks good

  • After i watched this i realized that they didn't show all the clips of the couch potato blogging losers, like they used to, and I approve.

  • this is a boring review.

the old RT show was so dinamic and funny

  • Hello! Go to { WatchLatestMoviesOnline . Info } to watch the same for free. Enjoy!

  • The girl is a total moron....considering every top critic loved it she obviously has no idea how to judge a movie

  • @W3R4P3STUFF she said she liked it, dumbass.

  • @Rimbaud1531 she didn't give it near as much credit as it deserved the movie one 4 golden globes

  • @W3R4P3STUFF you're right. she should have taken her pants off and fingered herself over the awesomeness of the movie...

  • You look so articifical and superficial. thanks for this crap review. Watch the movie and build your own opinion.

  • this was a very high quality movie, unusual how good a movie about facebook is, don't care if it is really true or not, does it make a difference to me anyway ? I enjoyed the movie experience a lot which is a rarity these days, if you have not seen this movie you are missing out !

  • The movie's alright, but I find Ellen Fox's hairdo more interesting. Does she moonlight as a dominatrix?

  • She goes "yeah I guess it's worth checking out... tomato meter rating: 97%"

WTF!?!?!? A 97% movies is "wortch checking out"

  • i haven't watched this movie and probably never will... but just judging from the trailer and reviews i've seen, 97% seems pretty high... what will you give movies that are actually really good? and how bad must a movie be to get like 10%?

  • @Caminacels i like how you start your comment stating that you have never seen the movie. but then you make fun of the movie and call it bad just from the trailer...

  • @skatecam1248

what? i didn't call the movie bad. i'm saying 97/100 is a damn high rating that should be reserved for the best movies out there. look at imdb.com, for example. the highest rated movie of all time there (shawshank redemption) has a 9.2 rating... that's a 92/100!

all i'm saying is, if they want people to take their ratings and reviews seriously, they better not give away a 97% like this.

  • @Caminacels the ranking isn't based on her it's based on critics and 97% is incredibly high only a few movies have ever gotten this good of a ranking...so basically she's just an idiot

  • @W3R4P3STUFF

so what you're saying is that you are aware of the fact that 97% is ridiculously high, yet you think this movie deserves it, right? wow, maybe i should go see it after all... just to be sure, what other movies would you give such a high rating?

  • I thought it sucked.

  • @saracathy286 Stop thinking.

  • i watched the trailer and it looked like shit, so i didn't see any more....

    really, 97%?

  • @KidOnTheNet Just because there isn't any car chases, explosions, or superheroes doesn't mean it's going to be a bad film. You just have to be a grown up to appreciate it.

  • @Freezykow

that makes sense, since i'm not a grown up.

    But that's besides the point,

I just find it hard to believe that a movie based on facebook is going to be worthwhile to watch. I guess i have to watch it first before saying anything, and if it turns out to be a really awesome movie then i will applaud the director and actors and everybody for being able to make facebook interesting.

For now i'll just say, the best movies are the ones you can watch for free.

  • @KidOnTheNet Unless you need explosions and a lack of a decent plot and characters you will enjoy this moving. It doesn't focus on the facts of how facebook was made and instead concentrates on the drama. It's worth the watch for anyone over the age of 13.

  • @Freezykow I'll wait for it to come on tv (in like twenty years)

and if it sucks, I blame you, freezykow.

  • @KidOnTheNet You do understand that not every great movie will eventually wind up on TV right?

  • @Freezykow yeah, but there is still the greatness of dvd rentals and illegal downloading

  • wow...facebook ... -_- *careface*

  • i miss the old rotten tomatoes show!

  • Wow, rts is really boring now :(

  • Zooming in on there faces dose not replace nerd's webcam review sessions. Brett and Ellen are funny but the viewer reviews need tom come back.

  • 97% wtf.

  • @boomerxxx seriously how the hell do you get a percentage? it's amongst two people..

  • @TheLegendaryRikku its from their site

  • @TheLegendaryRikku its not a precentege of THEIR review. they take the reviews of hundreds of professional movie critics on the internet and melt them down to a smimple precentege.who like them(fresh) and who didnt(rotten)

  • @boomerxxx

exactly, facebook is shit, why didn't anyone made movie about Bill Gates, that was a real genius

  • @KarelYalek Someone did 11 years ago, it's called "Pirates of Silicon Valley"

  • @KarelYalek

    watch pirates of silicon valley

  • this show has really gone down hill.

  • is it just me that doesn't give a fuck about facebook? And probably they put funds into making this movie cause people are getting bored with their shit.

  • @wardogPC Nope. I'm with you.

  • I find it worth mentioning that this movie really could be about any invention; Facebook just seemed like a tool the movie used to tell the story. I don't particularly know or care how down to facts this movie was; it probably veered off pretty hard (I'm hearing Erika was fictional?) which is OK because I don't go to the movies for facts; I go for entertainment, and this entertained good.

also, I would be shocked if Zuckerburg wanted this movie to succeed; it makes him look horrible.

  • @Sifferzz he most likely doesnt care if it makes him look horrible. he seems like a total asshole. x3
