  • You sound a bit like Jeff Bridges

  • I have two of these - a 'smoke' version with titanium back I bought new on 7th Ave, NYC, in 2000 (wish I'd kept the box and packaging) and a black one with steel back I picked up some time later (again, no box etc). I use each regularly as my cycling watches. Nice review!

  • I never seen this one before. Nice.

  • I have the same watch. But mine is a special edition which one have TITANIUM BACK. And it is as new. This is the best G-Shock watch ( I have a lot of G-shock watches), because it is realy so large.

  • You got an excellant voice. Thanks for the review.

  • I just bought a raysman. But dont know how to set the time on it. can you please explain.

    cheers.

  • Look in the manual under "setting the time/date"

  • If yu buy a g shock and it dont say CAISO on it its a fake

  • hi all i have been using this watch since 7 years and now its bezel and strap is tearing apart could anyone be kind enough to direct me to a place where i can get spares for this watch....plz...plz

  • Ebay!

  • nice watch!!!

  • i love this watch, but my bezel is destroyed.

    sory my bad english

  • You speak English well.

  • @weldersb do you still have the band

  • I have this one, MIBII version, nice build with decent functions, but still regretted the purchase.

First-gen solar system means big power module with huge power consumption. Manual power save mode is not convenient. at all. Just look at the recent models, the system works seamlessly and consumes much less power, meaning longer runtime. Further, the telememo has no EEPROM, and EL illumination is not as effective compared with other models.

  • you should see the antman! that watch is just huge!

  • tough solar watch can get out of batteries?

  • Nice review. I've had my Raysman for 10 years now (I bought it in Japan when it came out). Fantastic watch. It's still running off the same batter and it's been flawless in all manner of environments: skiing, diving, surfing, you name it. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

  • Definitely a true classic

  • You do realize that the entire world inherit multiple Raysmen, plus the obvious benefits..? ;D

  • The impressive thing is, after being released 10 years, I've yet to hear a complaint of a battery dying.

  • Great review Doug. That's a true classic. Thanks for the time to do the vid.

  • You got that right....happy to do it

  • thanks guys, this was a tough watch to photograph because of the domed crystal. Glad you enjoyed :)

  • Great review. But it would be better if have more clear image.

  • Sorry about that, poor lighting in that one. Ive since gotten a better camera, hope the lighting has improved in the videos I've done since this one.

  • Douuuuuug, Shiny as usual brother, Thank You for the fantastic review

  • You got it amigo
