anyone who thinks Vinnie can't touch Michael is blinded by their own prejudice thoughts on the subject. Micheal is great and was first. No doubt. But Vinnie is another great chapter to the band. Has anyone who dismisses his playing bought any of the last three albums? I doubt it. I thought music was meant to be enjoyed?
@TheJammpie u must be either deaf or retarded. comparing vinnie moore to schenker is like comparing a lion to cat. Vinnie is one of the most highly regarded shredders in the guitar community. However i do feel schenker brought more to the table then vinnie in UFO but if you have any knowledge of playing the guitar u would have probably listened to minds eye and discovered vinnie is amazing.
I love UFO and have seen them several times the last being in 96 at the Shark club in Vegas with Schenker. I'm sorry but Vinnie lacks the feel embodies the song. You can take all the coarses you want at G.I.T. but you can't teach feel. That's why Micheal is a guitar God and Vinnie isn't even in Jason Becker territory.
Sounds great. I was bit skeptical at first..being a diehard Schenker fan. Great to see Mogg/Parker/Raymond still holding the flame. Phil look/sounds great.
Great performance...but for guitar....Id rather watch Mikey...hehe.
You should honestly give Vinnie a chance. He's far more technical and his skills are often ignored. He's been shredding since the 80's! I can understand it though, it's hard to replace band members, no matter who they're replaced with.
grumpyoldgitt : Andy Parker, original drummer, on drums; Barry Sparks on bass. I believe Rob De Luca will be on the U.S. dates (right around the corner), as was the case last year. He's awesome. I did not hesitate to buy tickets for October and November dates!
I was there, it was a great concert, a pleasant surprise. My friend had bought me a ticket and I hadn't really listened to UFO since the 70's but I'm glad I did. I've been going back and listening to all the old songs.

"Seventeen (17) and natures queen, you all know what I mean
Twenty-one (21) a lone one, you can see the number's run
Now you look so peaceful, lying there asleep
With the wings of god above you
Before the spirits meet"
