IN my opinion compared to mutt williams at least. Short Round was a better son figure to Indy. The guy went to great lengths to save his friend and he didn't have to, whilst Mutt felt obligated to do so because of his true biology, but didn't really want to.

Indy never ditched Short Round. Short Round went on adventures with Indiana to find Han Solo's remains later. He then found the Peacock's Eye (Diamond from Club Obi-Wan) after he became an archaeologist. He also went to boarding school in the states, then he became an archaeologist on his own. So Indy never really ditched Short Round. P.S., that little clip at the end was from the Goonies!
