  • ...looks like a higher angle of attack than the "10,000 Miles" video....I assume that was intended and OK.

  • @jwm239 Hi jwm. It may be the angle of the camera on the wing. Note the position of the control bar. I have the nose of the wing pulled down for faster airspeed and better control.

  • I too was in this condition once, a bunch of us took of from 3FK and flew to 4I7 via 78I. Morning flight, all was good, once we started on our second leg, HUGE turbulence and winds up to 20+ knots. My Pegasus UL is rated to fly in 40 MPH winds, but I scared as all get out. Later found out through KIND that VFR flight was not recommended that day due to high winds. Stupid me for not getting a weather report before going!

  • @crazykidsdad Weather reports are good! The day I flew, the weather was great. I had 3 other take offs that morning and all were smooth. This one had me surprised.

  • wow did u get a bit worried there ?

  • @TurbulentG I was more surprised than anything. It was calm at ground level, so I never expect to get bounced around. I had two other take offs after that and they were both calm.

  • Is it homemade ? Or if it is then you are brave to fly so high :D

  • Awesome! I

  • I like the fact that you have a strobe fitted :)

  • I love this stuff!

  • whats the cost of one of those awsome machines?

    whats the cheapest ?

  • what kind of microlight is that?

  • A Sabre Trike.

  • hi mate is a hand glider with an engine faster than the normal ones and if there was no wind at all not even a light breeze could you stil fly thanks:)?

  • what was it ... crosswinds? just afternoon turbulence?

  • This flight was in the morning. This was the only fight I experienced the turbulence. I think it was just the transition between the thick still air on the ground and the moving air 100-150' up. It wasn't a problem at all. Just unexpected.

  • What about motion sickness?

  • You could take some Dramamine if you aren't use to the motion.

  • Nasty bump! Looks like fun though

  • How do you keep from shitting in your pants? I mean, aren't you afraid of falling?

  • You're strapped in so you can't fall out.

  • Long day at the job, I'll just go flyin... good job keepin her steady...Looks like you been doin this awhile...pure awesomeness...about how much one of the run now a days?

  • For something simple - about 10-12k. Thanks for watching.

  • not for all the tea in china

  • This is awesome! i love how to wheels turn! what speed do you roate at?

  • Thanks. About 25 mph.

  • Seemed like you handled that like it never happened. Genius!

  • really got bounced around

  • what kind of trike? 5/5

  • It's called a Sabre Trike. It's a shame, because they don't make them anymore.

  • Yeah but SkyCycle is picking up the slack.

  • That's great. I also love the Northwing ATF trike.

  • risk of slip stall?

  • No....keep the bar pulled in to keep your speed up. No problem. Just scary when it was calm on the ground.

  • Hang on to her turkey lol ..

    great job fly safe.

  • Hey Flyguy. Matt sells the Skycycle at LMFP. I bought my Sabre ready to fly. Sorry. No plans and Sabre went out of business. I've seen some of your videos also. Awesome. Keep them coming.

  • Hi man nice video. Great little trike to. Is it a look out mountain flight park trike by Matt Taber? If you have some plans for this i could use them .I live in Canada and am a HG(hang glider) pilot of many years that flies an Quicksilver MX Ultralite as well. Happy flying .

  • were can i get the plans for that plane?

  • Wicked bit of bouncing around thier mate, the old turbulence would be a bit frightening on the flex wing i would assume, good clip again mate keep em coming.

  • Sorry, is this something about the recording or your engine is indeed a way less noisy than they use to be? Love your vids btw! Txs!

  • Sometimes I use tape over the microphone to cut back on wind noise. This probably cuts back on engine noise also. Thanks for watching my videos.

  • Nice handling of the turbulences. :-)

The pretty big forest right after the runway looks pretty scary to me - is there a open field somewhere in reach in case of a engine failure?

  • There are plenty of places to land in case of an engine out. Look at some of my other videos and you will see how our field looks. Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for the answer - I was just curious as I just started to learn how to fly microlights. ;-)

  • Your control is pretty impressive. Are you a BFI, AFI or CFI?

  • Thanks. I'm not any type of instructor. I just fly for the fun of it. Thanks for watching.

  • That looked pretty rough. Hope the rest of the flight was better. I found a flight instructor in San Antonio. Should start lessons sometime this summer.

  • The rest of my flights that morning were great. Thanks for watching my video.

  • Maybe "rotors" coming off the trees? Nice takeoff.

  • wow, that must be scary.

  • Only for a second. I expected the air to be smooth. The wind was calm on the ground and blowing about 10 mph at altitude. The wing handles the turbulence better than I do :o)
