You could have also tapped on 'ASAP', and when it turned blue, just pressed the dictate button again and spoke in 'A SNAP' or whatever. The keyboard is great, but you could also avoid using it.

i use textfree to send texts for free. is there a way i can connect textfree and dragon dictation so i can send texts while driving?

i tried both downloads and i get 2 error messages cannot process request and the other connection was lost!!?

and 3g Unrestrictor didnt help either

@WBKAshtangaYoga I think you are a little confused. You don't even need an internet connection to use this app. Now to email or send on Facebook etc. You can use 3G, wifi or Edge.

thx i just downloaded the app for free it worked then when im away or when i turn wifi off it would boot up

@WBKAshtangaYoga Are saying that if you are on 3G you can't open the app and get it so record your speach to text? Or that you can do that on 3G, but can't paste that text to Facebook or Notes or something. I don't quite understand.

my iphone 3gs is jb /unlocked

i downloaded from installous

anyhow if i shut off wifi and am on 3g it does not let the app open

it give my an error 'sorry your connection timed out'

then when i turn wifi on it boots the app right up

@WBKAshtangaYoga It's a FREE app so why did you download from installous?? I would delete it and install a copy through the app store. Another option since you are jailbroken would be to add it to 3G Unrestrictor and see if that solves the problem.

It's only just been made available in the UK, I have been waiting ages for it as I have long been a user of Dragon software on the PC and have been for over 10 years now. It's a shame I didn't read the previous comments about how to get it by making a pseudo account in the US apps store, I would have tried this if I'd known.

I can't get over how good this dragon dictation app really is it could revolutionise the way I communicate a bit like what Steve jobs said the iPhone 4 would well give it dragon dictation app as well and it could too.

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this software. I am losing my hearing and have problems comprehending/interpreting what people are saying to me. I anticipate that this software could be part of a solution to my dilemma. I will be able to ask people to speak into my iphone read what they are saying and respond to them! I Ishould be able to carry on a conversation. I get my new iphone next week. This app offers a sense of hope and relief for hearing impaired.Thank You!!!

I'm in UK and have this on my phone. Go to the app store in itunes then click your username to log out. Click the flag at the bottom of itunes . You can then sign up for the US App store using a different login and the "make account without a credit card" option.

You can only get free apps from there but hey - this is free. It's also the reason why I made a US app store account.

Then log back in to your uk account when done.
