Rockabilly slapback can be achieved with any delay pedal. You don't need to flush your money for boss' overpriced pedal. This video is very helpful though.
Hey Jason, small world,, i got my boss SD-1 Super Over Drive from you back in June, you also showed me how to operate the RC-2 loop station that day ..thanks, i really appreciated your assistance!
hey Jason how's it going,i got my boss SD-1 from you back in June, you also showed me how to work the RC-2 that day, really appreciated it! i ended up trading the big muff, boss chorus and ce-7 eq for a 97 fat strat,(i know,.a pretty good craigslist swap),.I put the malmsteen dean markleys on,,,it's fast ... and now just use the SD-1 and a mxr dyna comp to smooth out my tone with over drive .
Jason needs to have more teaching videos, some more rockabilly stuff would be nice. I'm sure we all would appreciate it. He's great at it. And of course, the hair is AWSOME!
Great review! I really like all of Jason's videos. Keep them coming. Oh, and I really am thinking of getting a dd6 or dd7. Anyone know how great they are for longer delays?
Thanks for letting us post to a Jason video. He has been a great help to my playing. Really like to play Surf and Rockabilly. His gear reviews are appreciated. My current rig is a 65 Mustang Reissue and a 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue.
Any way what about Jason videos of the following songs. I can understand not doing the whole song since the return on investment might not be huge but how about the opening riffs?
this guy is real cool i love his style , his tone and sounds are great, thanks jason, hops u show us some more of them riffs that sound real complicated like the one when u said going from the outside in , i liked that one a lot, thanks man.
I agree! I really enjoy seeing "guests" doing videos for NLG. Gives us a chance to see a wider range of playing styles. The guitar is such a versatile instrument, it's just great to sample all the genre's, tones, styles, effects etc.
Great job Jason ...awesome vids and thanks for sharing your knowledge! Ignore the idiots they don't have a clue. About time we were able to post a comment on your vids. You Rival anyone on line..how a bout just playing sometime too!
