@cipol3 No. But based on some info they say the problem is facebook itself. I've tried a different browser, logging in and out and in again, my adobe flash is updated to the latest version...I haven't tried updating google chrome but even if it's not updated I haven't had this problem before so that can't be the problem...at first I thought it was my connection but even when I have good connection it's still the same...and until now I'm still looking for a solution...

@crapsound i can confirmed that only a few account experience this. My sister logs in her account on the same computer i use and she had no problem with the chat. Pretty weird.

@cipol3 My chat suddenly worked fine...I have no idea how it got fixed...sorry.........oh wait...maybe it has something to do with cookies being blocked...I have an automatic cookie blocker on my browser and I remember enabling cookies on almost every website I visit...you can try that but I'm not so sure if that will fix it.

Hey this was nice.

but my problem is not only about the CHAT.

I'm using chrome. Everytime I receive a message or a notifications, it doesn't show on the same tab, I had to open a new tab and then it views.

This thing is only with my account.

If I send a chat message to someone it doesn't show his reply on the same window, I have to open a new tab or a new window, then it shows.

do you have any idea? This is really confusing and unique. :'(

before, when I open my facebook, I usually had 90 or above online friends in my chatbox, but, one of these days, I observed that it only have 1 friend online and I cannot even open the chat box. i need help.. a friend of mine gave me this link then he told me to install it so my chatbox will be back to normal, after everytime i click my chatbox a message saying "you have 0 online friends would you like a hug? :) " pops then after I clicked it, my friend (who gave me the link) was the only person appearing online.... its so irritating cuz i cant make it back to normal where i can see my other online friends... btw, my friend is a guy.. i dunno what he did, i trusted him :( please reply

I have a problem similar to this except that when I click on stuff, it won't pop up. For example when I click on my chat or account on the top right corner, it won't pop up so sometimes I can't sign out or talk to my friends on chat. Any suggestions please?

on my facebook chat, i can view the contacts when i sign in, and stay on the homepage, but if i go to someones profile i cant see them, the chat bar at the bottom right says how many contacts are online and i can talk normally, it just wont display the pictures of the contacts online on the bottom left hand page. And also, Facebook chat wont work on my phone,

any suggestions please?:) ( oh and if i reload the page its fine )

I have a question. I am using an Imac and I often use the chat feature on Facebook. I can send messages ok, but I dont seem to receive messages on an automatic basis. To recieve messages on chat, I have to refresh the whole page. Only then do I see my freinds reply on Chat. Any idea what this is? Is it facebook, my imac, or a software problem (Safari Internet)?

@emirates247 First of all , download mozilla it has lowest rate of errors on facebook.

That somethimes happens to me also , check if you have some background downloading , torrent or something, this could also effect facebook.

It all depends from facebook , they are trying to make it better but while they do that a lot of people get's error.

Be patient if mozilla doesn't fix it time will :)

So try to refresh facebook,not clicking on refresh bar but going on facebook original site just like when you login and see will you have it ?

and if that doesn't help try to go in left corner and click see all.
