If a bunch of DC natives were out in the midwest somewhere celebrating in the streets YOU HAD BETTER BELIEVE that the media over there would point out the fact that they are out of towners/outsiders.

Almost exactly 40 years ago this intersection (14th & U)was the epicenter of the devastating riots following MLK's assassination. How fitting that a spontaneous celebration should occur at this place!! Thank so much for sharing so I could enjoy it - with my kids - from Indiana.
So... I could be wrong...
But I think U Street had the BEST celebration in the city that night! :o)
