Yepp, just set the settings on the Z-5500's to either DD 5.1 music/movie. The onboard chip will convert the 2.1 audio signal into a 5.1 signal :)

Thanks for the nice words. I didnt go for the apple cinema display because i couldn't justify the price. The ACD is a great monitor, but for almost $500 less I was able to get the HP.

How come you didn't get an apple cinema display? That is what i have for my mac mini. And i will keep it for when i get a macbook pro in a couple of months when they release leopard. But eventually i will replace my 20" cinema display for a 30" since i have no life so i can justify spending the money. Although i may wait for some kind of update to the cinema displays.
