Streaming video to Nokia N770 Tablets in Car using Mediatomb

I've tried a few devices since. So far the results are:

* N770 - Works perfectly

* iPhone/IpodTouch - PlugPlayer App works perfectly

* Android - No App works yet but seems to be on the way

* Nokia N95-8GB - Cannot stream but will download entire movie and play

* Windows Media Player - Tested on Windows 7, works fine

* Ubuntu - Some fiddling with default Music player and it worked.

No success on the screen lock tho :-(

Nice work! I have been looking to build a similar system for our family van. I like the choice of the N770 tablets.

I was thinking that a simple web front-end would be ideal for kids: click the picture of the movie you want to play and it will start streaming.

I had considered using some old Windows CE devices but the Nokia might be a good possibility. Did you ever find a solution to the keyboard lock problem?

In OS2006, you have to install the "Media Streamer" application in the Application Manager.

In OS2007HE, it's built into the default media player.
