I was hit by an 18 wheeler at 75 miles an hour,hit the guardrail on the front corner of the drivers side spun around 180 degrees and slid off into the woods,and walked away from it.

That's why I own another 2001R/T Stratus.

They are kick ass cars!

I had the four cylinder for 2 years before it was totaled it got great gass milage wasn't a sppeder,but never gave me any problems..

Basically, your 1G cloud's chassis its a clone of the 2G's chassis. So I think it offers the same safety.

I think the pre 2000 Sebrings are clones of the old Avengers, which are different cars, rather than precursors to this one.

yea the 2000 sebrings had the same chassis i think just a entire new look.

Avengers were based on the Eclipse platform of the era, only Sebring Coupes shared the Mitsubishi platform. Sebring sedans (named as Cirrus) were based on the Stratus platform.

This makes me feel pretty good, as I drive a 2001 Chrysler Sebring (what's being tested here). I live in a place that gets really icy in the winter, so seeing how well this car withstood the crash test makes me feel better. Hopefully I won't find out firsthand, but it's nice to know that this is apparently a safe car. :)
