  • I just love shocking blue. But that's probably because I'm dutch :-)

  • WOW! i have that one from THE CRITTERS.

that NAZZ single looks nice--love both of those songs!

  • An important tip: If you EVER want to buy common, average grade Top 40 lots, only do it in BULK LOTS, especially from the 1970s and 1980s. Terry Jacks' Seasons in the sun, for example, at $4.25 plus shipping on eBay in an average VG shape is definately wasting your money (that's a 25 cent record at best in VG!)

  • Awesome and rare 60's picsleeves! That Association one iscool, esp since its a ValianT! Thanks for sharing

  • Lovin Spoonful single was Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind. Old Picture sleeves sometimes had the title of one side in caps on one side of the sleeve and the title of the flip side on the other side of the sleeve, so depending on which side became the A side you would have that picture to face forward for display. You were looking at the back side of that sleeve which I have in my collection as well.

  • @pilesovinyl I was just gonna type this :)

  • love that SHOCKING BLUE! that's one of the most beautiful women i've ever seen!

  • Enjoyed it - as I am a record collector also. I especially pic sleeve records. The first sleeve of the Human Beinz I have also. I actually was in the Air Force with the drummer Gary. Thanks for sharing.............

  • I see I commented on this one two years ago. I have one more thing to note - "Didn't Want To Have To Do It" was not the hit side of that Lovin' Spoonful single. The hit side was "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind", which reached #2 on the Billboard chart.

  • wont get those 2.07 mins back!

  • Nice collection! These are probably pretty valuable now. I have the Happy Jack P/s too

  • Thanks for sharing. All this beautiful artwork to accompany great music. What a shame the kids now just get their music virtually, with nothing to look at while listening.

  • Are 45's in picture sleeves worth more than plain records, or does it depend on the song/artist?

  • Absolutely! Usually a picture sleeve will double or triple the value of a 45. Of course the amount varies by artist and release, but having the sleeve will always increase a record's value.

  • Wow, that's great! I have a whole box full of just these types. I'll have to make a video soon...

  • Pretty cool.

  • I love your record collection, I remember all these records, it brings back so many memories. 5 STARS for your video.

  • nice collection!

  • That was really an interesting post. The record sleeve and label art were part of the indentity of the song, for me, when I was growing up.

  • Question: do you only listen to 60's?

if so, i god bless you.

    im 12 years old,

and i only listen to records and im into the 60's, i only listen to it, and if i say so myself, i dress like i waled out of san Francisco in 1967. Suprisingly, my record collection contains a lot of the records that you have.

thank you for helping to keep the 1960's alive.

  • Nice!!!

  • great collection. how many records do you have?

  • Ummm....a lot. I think I have around 600 albums, probably 300 singles. I can't say I've ever actually counted.

  • great stuff you have there.

  • Very, very cool stuff!!!

  • "Open Up Your Door" by Richard and the Young Lions was a big favorite of mine back in 1966. The best-known member of Nazz was Todd Rundgren, who later had a solo hit with "Hello, It's Me". "Pandora's Golden Heebie Jeebies" was not one of the Association's biggest hits. It came out after "Along Comes Mary" and "Cherish" but before "Windy" and "Never My Love". "Mighty Joe" was the Shocking Blue's follow-up release to their #1 hit "Venus".

  • Cool stuff.
