@emilydeafvideos Even without the smile, makeup and highlights, I'll take the "before" look any time! The hair was scrumptious when it was long.

The producers always play around with the lighting and background to make someone bad before and good after. They will either make the background a warm red or cold blue before with lighting from the side to show up all the contours, then make the background neutral after with the lighting from the front.

They cut her hair a little too short...they could have just trimmed it up a bit. Blah.

@StaciMarie333 agreed and yes the Bob looks good. they could have done the same with her longer hair. imho, I think it's part of the short hair propaganda and I used to fall for the short hair looks better myself until I realized the reason they do these long to short makeovers is because short hair requires frequent trims which means frequent visits to the salon and a Bob needs more trimming on a regular basis than many other styles do which means more money for the salon.

@SleekGothic Very true, unfortunately I chopped all my beautiful long hair off because I got bored with it. -_- Just don't do it ladies and gents. Long hair looks beautiful on everyone that can grow it!

the hair could have stayed. it looked nice and healthy. i dont know why hairstylists always cut off older ladies hair when they do makeovers.
