  • If only the kids these days had tv shows this good, I'm a young adult and I'd rather watch this than any Hannah Montana crap.

  • please come back tex.if only. good old days

  • Tex Tucker rules ...ok !!!

  • wow, never got this where I live but love Gerry Anderson series so nice to be able to indulge in this nostalgia. Great stuff, Toy Story owes a lot to this series.

  • some say this is Drucker Store from Petticoat Junction and Green Acres...so it's authentic alright

  • The good old days....Sending your kid out to get your tobbaco...

  • Tobacco for Gran!! You have to be 25yrs old now to run an errand for your grandad these days!

  • No wonder we were all obsessed with cowboys as kids - Westerns were virtually all there were on TV at the time!

  • Is this 'Little House on the Prarie' ?

  • fuck me this is creepy shit

  • I use to watch this show in the Netherlands in the 60's

Its just great to see it again. Just like mguyvig, that tune

    always stayed with me.

  • I'm 54 now, and this is my earliest TV memory! The theme tune has remained with me all this time. Weird, eh?

  • This should be banned. Depicting Mexicans as evil gringo's is not pc, somebody should tell Tex Tucker & put him straight

  • @ALBIONTYKE Call me a pedant, but 'gringo' is actually a Hispanic slang word for a non-Spanish-speaker, especially an American or an 'anglo'. The unacceptable term for a Mexican is 'greaser' and is, thank heaven, seldom heard these days!

  • @CinnAlla Fair enough, but I still cant get my head around how the hell that young kid walks through the door into that store without getting his strings all tied up.

  • @ALBIONTYKE The magic of 'Supermarionation', mate! :-D

  • @ALBIONTYKE When the kid walks through the doorway, you don't see the top of the door - there would be nothing above it in the interior shot. The exterior shot is a different model of the building.

  • @KeeperOfTheKitten Your not serious ? After all these years since I was a kid I thought it was a genuine store !

  • @ALBIONTYKE No no, it can't be a genuine store - if they sold tobacco to a kid they'd surely be in trouble! (I did wonder if you'd posted the doorway remark in April though!)

  • I thought I was a real tuber, but I never heard of this show before. Was this daytime tv?

  • FAB THANK YOU FOR SHARING ~ SUNSHINE SMILES ~ LOVE & LIGHT & LOTS OF LAUGHTER :)

  • the kid loks same as torchy lol

  • 1961.......Happy days!

  • This was made because up to about '63 westerns were the "in thing"..... Then came Supercar, quickly followed by Fireball XL5 to cash in on the Space race, that was after the launch of Sputnik etc..... all UK kids that were born in mid 1950's were brought up on theses programmes as well as Pinky and Perky... a much more innocent time... times that alas will never return..... RIP

  • Gramps has the same voice as the proffesor from Fireball XL5. This was the first thing I ever remember watching on TV! God am old!!

  • Some are like remebering dreams from the past - Thanks for the chance :)

  • Woody's roundup!

  • pretty cool

  • Tthat kid sure is scary haa haa

  • so innocent, those times, what has happend since?

  • @FortisetLibor

I know how you feel... though I'm not from those days... I know how it feels. Changes can affect things more badly than make them happy

  • I've seen mainly stills from this series.

It's fun to see a UK spin on that American icon, the western

I grew up on Gerry Anderson from Supercar on.

I see that the sculpts on the puppets are very exaggerated compared to Gerry's later work.

  • I watched so Gerry Anderson when I was a kid, I used to look for the strings when I met real people.

    Fabulous show. Thank you.

  • 1959.

  • i,m 54 now and this is the first programme that i can remember, brilliant!

  • mother says she's sure it was more exciting when she was 3!

  • The lady in store looks like Christine off the One Show!

  • Fantastic! When I have spoken about this people looked at me as if were mad and imagined it. My boyhood has returned.

  • NOW i ask myself wer is all this goin.....tee hee...sworn to secrecy..but u could

  • Isn't Little Jake really Torchy?

  • 魔法の拳銃ですね。

    日本では1963年に放映されました。
