Wow! This is quite impressive! Great picking, Lindsey! It's really refreshing to see young performers that appreciate the great music and artists that came before Justin Bieber came along, lol!
btw, my favorite singer of all time, and a good friend as well, Sara Niemietz, owns a 1957 Gretsch Chet Atkins model Country Gentleman guitar. She treasures that instrument! (you can find Sara's channel in my Best Friends box)
I'm so pleased to know you and your music, stop by and say hello anytime!
Aloha Lindsey....what a great interview and guitar playin, really enjoyed the style you have....I'm a fan of this style of country music and blue grass also. Enjoyed listening....take care and keep on pickin. Curt
It sounds great. Playing the guitar is like learning to ride a bike for the first time. Once you know how, it becomes second nature. In your case, you flew off with it. Amazing guitar playing. Go girl!
Wow! That's really interesting . I think it's so important to have that kind of support from family. I know you know, you are truly blessed in so many ways.
Thanks for sharing this. The "amazing slow downer", how fiendishly clever heh heh heh
Year or two ago, when I first found you on Youtube, I wrote you that you play guitar like a star and you should also project being a star. Well, there's no doubt about it now - You are a STAR!
Hi Lindsey, this was really interesting to listen to. I am glad that I could understand everything of the interview and what you wrote in the end. Your big motivation to learn Fingerstyle and Chet Style picking brought you so far and will you bring much further.
Lindsey keep it up!! If you play this good at 15 you'll play even better at 20. Keep playing.....practice everyday.....and here's the best advice: KEEP CHALLENGING YOURSELF AND LEARN HARDER CHET TUNES. You smoke on Black mtn Rag!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Great interview and great picking, as always. Enjoyed your main stage set with Mr. Bob at CAAS. Sorry I didn't have the chance to introduce myself. Keep up the great work!!
Awesome interview Lindsey!! You were so calm and did so well on camera!! And as usual you did a fantastic job playing!! Interesting write up at the end as well! Bravo! *****
Hi Lindsey, this is really wonderful to see now, I am very impressed with how you handled this interview and of course those close ups on your playing :o) You are such a great player and I am looking forward to seeing more of your CAAS 2011 visit. -Ron
Fine interview and fine rendition of a great old tune. It is interesting how some young folks are attracted to these old time styles, while most go the way of pop or even the harder rock styles: tapping, shredding, etc. It is encouraging so many very talented young people are playing bluegrass, banjo, fiddle, guitar, but not too many playing finger picking guitar. I applaud your enthusiasm and accomplishment, and am sure old Chet is smiling down. :)
I enjoyed this interview on how you picked up the fingerstyle guitar picking. Even the credits at he end of the video show a little more detail on how you started. I even liked the closeups the camera person did. I'm a big fan of yours Lindsey! I look forward to more videos being posted of CAAS 2011!!! __Chris
I thought you showed great poise and maturity under pressure...you seemed more at ease than Joe! LOL and you played well even with the camera-fly buzzing around you...very professional...as to your playing...I've never heard you play badly yet...perhaps you only play badly in your spare time.... ;- )
Hi Lindsey, thanx fot that wonderful video. You´re really a good guitarist at Chet´s style, you deserve it. BTW, I liked the way you learned it with DVD and so on;-) When I started (in 1973;-))) I learned from vinyl records, no TABs ,no pause,;-)
I am a big fan of yours. I liked how you explained your playing roots at the end. You are a fine player. I may not be able to play as good as some people, but I know good playing and good tone when I hear it. You, have both. Best of luck to you, my friend!!
Nice!
