No need to compare or argue here since she's a fan of Tamia, but here is a vid of that young singer Charice singing Tamia's song in a contest. There is something about her in the way she channels the song emotions, and I'm not even talking about her voice which is as incredible keeping in mind she's only 12 years old in that contest. I think she's pretty amazing at such a tender age.

However, if she's as great as you think she is she should be able to be sucessfull without being compared to tamia. I watched her video and she's talented.
