I had a mentor tell me once that the saying "practice makes perfect" is a half-truth which is WORSE than a lie. At least with a lie, most people can tell it is a lie and not pay it any never-mind. With a half-truth, people may actually believe it and wind up getting duped. He went on to tell me the truth is that practice does NOT make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.
