I feel it worth pointing out that this video has missed several key details. The first is that the NDAA would have passed without a veto, it had too many votes to be stopped. The second is that President Obama was able to write in an extra part to make it so that only the US president could authorize it to happen, therefor preventing the crazies in the military from doing it whenever they pleased. Obama prevented the worst-case scenario. Our enemy is the corrupt Congress, NOT the President.

@esfelectra Abolishionist helped write the Constitution and originally didn't want to count slaves at all so the South would be less influencial in the Federal Government. The compromise was 3/5ths of a person for slaves. Abolishionist didnt want the Southern states to become their own country. I believe Fredick Douglas didnt like that part of the Constitution until he read the Convention notes and then changed his mind. Something to look into in your free time.

It's dirty business, but during times of crisis, liberties are often suspended! It's happened throughout our history... civil war, WW1, WW2, etc. Once the battle is done, the laws are often changed.
