your starter misses sometimes and you get that grinding noise , my GMC did that also , here's a trick Dave just turn the ignition key realy fast when starting for some reason it won't miss & grind , an old veterand mechanic that as passed away now taught me this trick & i never got the grinding starter to ring gear noise ever again , unless i fergot to it that is lol .

Not only will this leach out into the soil, and therefore last maximum until the next flood, but it could affect the neighbouring crops in the field, plus help to corrode the undersides of al your visitor's cars!!! When i was little my dad had a machine shop and he allways has extra/dirty oil, he pored it in our gravel alley so the gravel would compact and make no dust. It worked GREAT!! i suggust you do the same. but if you dont want to waste oil, then your idea is perfect!
