RUSSIA saved europe without russia germany would of had it all and i mean all they lost more troops dedicated more troops attacked with more advanced weaponary in later stages and had the highest economic and civilian loss more than all other nations involved in the european side of the conflict put together and they recieved no supplies tropops or help of any other kind from the allies..... OI and there was no uranium in Iraq non what so ever

@baihbalm I would encourage you to listen to or read Christopher Hitchens' critique of Iraq. Saddam and his regime were muslim, and cited islamic sanction for many of their actions. The idea that this was a "secular" state is well refuted. Just becasue it didn't have a traditional theocratic government structure did not mean that Saddam et al were secular/humanist atheists. Much has been written about Saddam's islamic connections.

He carried out ethnic cleansing and jihad, and he used islamic ideology as the basis for his hatred of Jews and Americans. He was a variant of islam, not secular by any means, but he didn't use a traditional Islamic clergy-centric government.

Saddam was a muslim, and had close ties to anti-US and anti-Israel MUSLIM terror groups. He often portrayed himself as a devout muslim, sometimes praying toward mecca, and added the phrase "allahu akbar" in his handwriting to the national flag. He even instituted sharia law reforms in order to consolidate with muslim groups!
