Calvinism/Doctrines of Grace/Reformed Theology are from the pit of Hell.....they are heresies that make God Almighty a sinner and not just a sinner but the Author of ALL sin.
Every child raped....every women beaten...every person murdered...every deceitful business deal...every cruelty man has done, was authored by God. It is a blasphemous false religion and many otherwise fine Bible teachers are promoting it today. MacArthur, Sproul, Piper, are some of them. Flee and Repent of Calvinism!!
I have been searching for a simplistic way of explaining to a youth group of about 15 teenagers what it really means to believe in Jesus. We have just recently gone through a short DVD presentation by Max Lucardo on John 3:16. It was excellent, but it did not address the real question, what does it mean to believe in Jesus.
Your presentation of the balancing scale is the perfect way to hopefully penetrate these kids with the life changing question, do I really believe in Jesus. Thank you Sam
I used to wonder what it meant to believe in Jesus. I like how you define it. I also struggled with not being able to believe that Jesus died for my sins. Then, God showed me something in the Bible that says that belief is a gift of God. So, I asked God to help me believe. You know, He surprised me and now I believe that Jesus is God and that He died on the cross to soak up the wrath I deserved.

I'm glad to hear you are out there teaching the gospel to the teenagers. Praise God for that. Jesus is their only real answer!
