Everyone is talking about how amazing Willemijn is, and yes she is great! But I do think this Glinda is also fantastic. Her voice sounds the best for me of all the Glinda's. Her voice doesn't sound sharp, but very warm. I like it!

also wenn dus das erste mal siehst isses eigentlich nicht so gut wenn du in der zweiten reihe sitzt, da kommt der ganze gesamteindruck garnicht rüber, also bei meinem ersten mal wicked saß ich in der neunten Reihe in der Mitte, total perfekt für jemanden der das erste mal reingeht^^

The name of this song literally translated is "How I Am" in case anybody was curious. "Frei und Schwerelos" means "Free and Weightless", "Nur Ein Tag" means "Just One Day", and "Wie Herrlich" means "How Marvelous." Does anybody know where I could purchase these songs? My German teacher would love them and before anybody asks: No, I can't translate any of the songs for you. I am only Level 2 German.

I am from the USA, and I personally think that English is a screwy language that is overly difficult to speak properly (which virtually no one does on a daily basis). German is much easier to pronounce and learn. I do not speak it very well at all, but I can pronounce it and I have friends who are very fluent after about five years of continued study.

Well, Willemijn is actually Dutch, so this isn't even her first language, although dutch and deutsch(german) are very close. And she knows English. Even though English has so many exceptions, some ways letters are pronounced in deutsch (maybe dutch) are pretty...interesting to English speakers. And the (darn it, what's it called) two dots above a,o,or u completely changes the pronunciation. And w is said vey, v is said fey, j is said yot.

Well, I'm German as well and I think German is more difficult. For example, in English it's always 'the' or 'a' and not like in German 'der', 'die', 'das' or 'ein(e,er)'

And we German are probably the only the ones that use the letters 'ö' (oe), 'ä' (ae), and 'ü' (ue). I imagine it could be really confusing.

seems like when they gave the german titles for the songs they changed the tittle it self english this song is " For Good" german for that is "Für Gutes" but insted they titled the song "Wie ich bin" in english thats "As I Am"

Wicked is great, and even in English it's wonderful but you're right about how people are trying to follow Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. They are the original (and Sweet Lurline, I love them so much) cast, but I'd like to see people out there doing their own style. Perhaps personalizing the characters to their own selves like Idina and Willemijn did with Elphaba and Lucy and Kristin did with the role of Glinda.
