STING COULD HAVE BROUGHT A WHOLE GENERATION UP ON SMART songs, if he never wanted to be so much of a tosser accordind to j barnes, somehow barnsey has a great point!
Sting was a very sucessful solo artist after he left the police...it was Stewart and Copeland that I never heard of after the police split up...so, for that reason, I consider your comment invalid as it seems Sting was very sucessful on his own whereas the other 2 weren't nearly as sucessfull(at least enough for me or many other people to hear of any new work Stewart/Copeland were doing after the police).
Great vid...btw...this is off-topic, but I'd like to let everyone out there reading this know the Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting 70 million Falun Gong practitioners for 10 years in China. The media doesn't cover it. It must stop, so they can be free like we are here. Thanks.
If Sting was wrong there were creative differences, what ever happened to Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers after the breakup? Should the creative one be calling the shots?
wow i heard the mudvayne veersion first which is of course gonna be kick ass but i thought the orginal would be horrible but actually this isnt that bad never really got into 80s music since i wasnt even born back then but this is alright
He is making a joke. He said "This song is called 'King of Pain', or in English 'King of Bread'." In French the word for bread is "pain". I hope that clears it up.
Sting was getting devorced from his 1st wife when he wrote this song. Creativity resides in his chakras. He also reads alot of books. For an English man he does alot of yoga, likes krishnamurthi and meditates. May the force of kundalini be with you Police man !
Aside from the genius of his music, this is one of the reasons I love Sting so very much. He and I are both on the same page. I've been practicing meditation for more than 20 yrs on and off. I'm working on improving my discipline so that I can be more consistent with this science.
sting is so cool and soo is andy and stewart but i like swting the most y becuz sting nice voice and ok with the gatar c andy is good with just the gatar stewart is good with drums but i dont thank stewart was most poperlar i think pepole dont care 4 drumers i think thar ok im gona lern the gutar
... I agree with you that the song is beautiful, but please get your facts (lyrics actually) straight, 'cause I find it irritating when people make mistakes in this
i gues im one of the police's youngest fans, and especially in this era. but musically their amazing. i saw them in concert early this year... they were stunning.
like they'd never broken up, they are more than musicians, their legends.
This song was always a masterpiece musically and literally to me. When I was 13, it came out and it was like hearing someone putting into perspective to the things that crushed me in life. To hear a superstar sing about it told me that I wasn't alone. Today, I'm not a fan of his politics, but where his soul was in this song, so was mine.
Salve..i police sono superiori a tutti..!!!! Specialmente quando suonano king of pain...sembrano piu una sorta di divinità piuttosto ke semplici cantanti..!!! bellaaaa...!!!!!! viva i polce...!!!!!
This is one of my favorite police songs. it has so much meaning especially if you listen to the lyrics! though the sound and beat rocks too! They are my second favorite band!
this is the police in their prime, don't think you'll ever get them as good as they were in this vid if you go see em nowadays, but hey they are still the police and they rock!!!!
I saw them in Omaha the other night, RETIRE GUYS, no stage chemistry at all, DO THEY ALL HATE EACH OTHER??? poor show, I should have saved my money($200 to see this crap)and just watched old videos of them online, I love the Police but they just stink it up live P.S. i am a veteran of over 750 concerts
Yeah, for the most part, Sting and Stewart Copeland couldn't stand each other. That is the main reason why they broke up in the first place. Apparently, they still can't stand each other even now.
That is not right.. They broke up, because the Andy and The Stew wanted some credits too, everybody just talking about Sting AND the Police.. They wanted credits too, but Sting ment that it was HIS songs, he wrote them, whitch is right, but I think they should be known as just The Police. Have a nice day.!
pictures of the people on the radio One day i switched on my radio turning about the dials of fortune and fate my life empty and old my prospects desolate when i heard the tounges of experience talking to my soul and heart and state and pictures flooded my mind who needs speakers to tell us how the world works when i see pictures of the people on the radio in my head it's getting late and i'm alone but i got a date with the people on the radio i can turn em on at all hours ain't that great
The Most talented trio in rock history performing one of their hits (they have a shitload!). If there is one thing their reunion has shown us is what an awful direction music has taken. These guys are the masters of creativity and skill. Nobody comes close to the boys in blue, not then, not now.
