Wow, you really need to buy Red of Tooth and Claw and Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them. Both are amazing albums. Red of Tooth and Claw is newer, but it is basically a prequel to Who Will Survive.

Agree about Ash, its my favourite too! This album really is just a masterpiece, and I hardly even listen to this kind of music! I just stumbled on it by chance. Can anyone recommend me some bands that are slightly similar?
