i just uploaded a video of an oil painting that took me 5 months to finish.

Hope everybody is doing great today! My name is Lisa Mcnish, a niece of Uncle Woodie, I know Uncle Woodie was loved very much! He was good to me and my child. He is going to be a great lost to our family, he had so much knowledge that he shared with our younger children in our family! I know he is in a better place but I will diffenetly miss him so much! My heart goes out to Jenn, Rick, and Aunt Dot! Love you guys very much!

We here in Andalusia, AL, are so saddened to hear the news of Woodie Long's death. He was a really special person, and my kids and I loved going to his and Dot's home to visit and purchase paintings. He will be sorely missed! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dot, his family and friends. Carol

just like most of the Bama folk artist, there is nothing uniquie about this high school or freshman year art student level at best, not bad, just not anything special as the dealers and galleries in this area hype him

I love to go to Woodie and Dot's when I'm in FL. Visiting them is like visiting old friends and a trip to a great art gallery rolled in one. I've gotten my mom and now have for myself, one of his paintings. I wish him a full and speedy recovery. Such a treasure.

This is my Uncle Woodie!!!!!!! right now he is in ICU with colon cancer he just had surgery and i am hoping he will survive this.

It's acrylic on paper. Woodie simply keeps his tupperware of paints covered, so that he can open it and start painting at any time.
Glad you liked the video! He's a wonderful guy and a fantastic artist.
