  • band sounded more garage with Abbruzzee...he just cracks it harder ...the just dont have that edge now

  • What show is this?.. Of Course Dave Abbruzzese rocks!...

  • @STT757 Is a show in Milan

  • Dave A. was the bomb!!!!

  • God, that is one tight band. They could have given anyone a run for their money in those days. Eddie Vedder is awesome.

  • All right, cool. I´ll check that out. Interesting though...

  • You are saying that there are two studio versions of Evenflow, one with Dave A. and one with Dave K.? Do you have a link to the Dave A. version? I can´t seem to find it.

  • Dave Abbrusseze did a studio version of it and they just used it for the Evenflow video. Though I have looked for it a little, but never found it. Its probably right under out noses if we look for it, B-side, torrent maybe?..

  • So, I did a little searching, and It was right under our noses! The four song Alive (Japan EP) has the re recorded version of Evenflow with Dave Abbruzzese. I just never bothered to ever pick that one up:)..

  • Indeed, the Dave A. version is much stronger, but from what I figure, the mix is playing a major role. A bit less dynamic, "louder" and a major tweak on the bass sound. Krusens version mixed that way...would be awesome I think. K. still composed those nice fills and pleasant transitions. Whatever :) IMO

  • It's also the version on Rearviewmirror.

  • @realbazini You can find that version on RVM, the hits collection.

  • I miss the days of Dave Krusen. His brilliant flow let "ten" appear so effordless!

  • Definately was an impressive preformance by Krusen. Yet I cant say I miss the days since there were'nt very many! :) Check out the evenflow video. That was a studio version they did with Abbruzzese. Personally for me, I prefere Abbruzzese version over Krusens version. Much more power and energy IMO. :)

  • Everything Dave A. did was loads better than what Dave K. did. He took Dave K.'s songs and made them much better. All due respect to Dave K. for ten but other than that is above average...Dave A is a great drummer.

  • Thank you for the kind words. D.A.

  • Thank you for being a bad ass mofo on the drums. I bet Ed and Jeff kick themselves daily for fucking up the best thing that happened to PJ. Now they are stuck with Matt and boring fills and gay drum solos in e-flow. Jesus I miss the old PJ days.

  • Damn! The best Pearl Jam drummer!!!

  • Damn... A nice video man... :)

  • Immernoch Gänsehaut pur nach 17 Jahre

    Mein absolutes Idol !

most influence drummer during this phase !

thx to PJ for giving me the direction

  • Dave was the Man.

He was/is a talented drummer and this live shows are the proofs for my statement.

And this song is one of the best ever if u want to lose ur mind, this is the one to be listening during the process. :D

  • DAVE A WAS BEST ON THIS SONG. Sorry... but true.

  • meee...lo vidi in diretta 'sto concerto....che emozione...

  • this fuckin rules!!!!

i miss these days so fuckin much

  • unoduetrequattro...meraviglioso!

  • God is Pearl Jam amazing -that energy, that voice!

  • el mejor baterista que pudo tener pearl jam

  • Hey, you can search for "Dave Abbruzzese tribute" on youtube.

  • i liked the vid bro.

    takes me back

  • dave wanted to do videos and interviews and singles and all that shit to SELL pearl jam as much as possible. so they kicked him out and stopped making videos, doing interviews, and making singles and ALL THEY DID was tour and put out records. they made music ALL FOR THEMSELVES and we get to get a lil piece.

  • Matt Cameron really suck. He took all the energy from the band.

  • cameron=soundgarden. he doesn't fit to pearl jam.

  • Matt Cameron fits PJ now. There is no more soundgarden.

  • i agree

  • abbruzzese was better musician and showman than vedder, that prick was jealous and kicked him out of the band. what a waste... i love his style, espiecially in "rats" and "animal" pure energy passion play, while vedder became a total asshole nowadays.

  • I'm sorry, but please tell me where is abbruzzese now?

  • he's a producer

  • milano, dio lo sa se c'ero.

  • I like Jack Irons.

  • Dave was the best drummer of his generation. When they kicked him out in August 1994 (i rem the day) i was distraught. I like some of the newer PJ stuff but havin seen them in '93 in Ireland, they've never been nearly as good

  • Dave A. was their absolute best drummer, i loved his use of cymbals, very technical and tricky! When Matt plays songs that Dave played, it seems so boring and it sounds like its missing something. Dave kicks ass

  • I mean... what a great fuckin' drummer! He's a natural... it was a shame PJ and Dave ways weren't the same... both rock!

  • why did dave leave?

  • I seem to remember reading an old issue of Modern Drummer and Dave said basically that Eddie didn't feel that his style fit with the bands. I don't think Eddie liked his what some might say overuse of cymbals and so forth. I personally think he was their best drummer and thought he brought some great energy to the band, especially compared to Jack Irons and Matt Cameron, who I think did a MUCH better job with Soundgarden. Anyway, hope that helps.

  • Great boot. Mtv europs.. ahhhh Makes me happy!!! DAVE ABBRUZZESE is and was the shit!!!

  • Goddamn amazing, i wish i was my age at the time they came out, they are the kings.. Shame they can't put out that kind of brain smashing performance no more.

  • yeah.. but they're in their forties and they still put on really good live shows.i hope they last forever.
