Can anyone tell me what adaptor (AC or DC) am i supposed to use for the vox satchurator...On the manual it says it requires an AC adaptor,whereas on the unit near the adaptor socket it says it needs a 9v DC adaptor....Pls help....

Before I got the Satchurator I had the Ibanez Jemini. I love the Jemini specially the green channel. But I hardly ever used the red channer because it was too thisck sounding for my strat.

The Satchurator worked better for my playing and my current guitar. Dynamics are great with my strat, gain I use is just about halfway.

I've seen a lot of comments about the Satchurator saying that it's not far away from the sound of the DS-1. I owned a DS-1 before and all I can say is that they are totally different. They could sound the same because of just one sweet spot on the settings, but the Satchurator gives you more headroom on all 3 controls. The tone can be a bit harsh but I don't mind, it's really up to the user to find his sweet spot on the pedal.

this is such an amazing pedal, i got this for my birthday in may and i have used it ever since, you get so many incredible tones, the design, the knobs, the feel of the pedal, the sound, the capability just everything is perfect, joe and vox worked so hard with this and it really shows

@whitemexican07 Lets just say this pedal replaced a BOSS Dyna-Drive and BOSS DS-1 Distortion because it does both in one pedal and sounds amazing doing it. The pad switch is really a good feature because I always had to dial down the tones and drives to work with my MXR Phase 90 and Morley Tremonti Wah. With the pad switch I don't have to dial down anything. Since it does the job of my 2 BOSS pedals I took my Dyna-Drive and tuned the drive down to a bluesy sound for slower songs.

i have this pedal with a triple xxx amp,for me it only sounds good when i run my amp through the clean channel,my problem is when i try to hold a note it dies out yet when i dont use the pedal and have my amp set on ultra i can hold a note and it will ring out...i have the pedal set on full gain,quarter tone and full volume and have an ibanez rg with seymour duncans.does anyone out there have a solution? its driving me nuts!

this is an awesome and i mean awesome pedal i love it i have a solid state amp (crate GLX212) and it kicks major ass. Your not going to get exactly satchs tone but its gets pretty close i mean you need his amps guitars pickups everything so its gonna sound different but its just awesome i will never get another distortion pedal ever again

Really is the best distortion pedal I have ever used. Lots of nuance, articulate and all sorts of artifacts in the tone that respond to your sense of touch and attack. I wonder if most players will ever really appreciate the great design Joe tossed us. This is the box for heavy fusion and rock. I use another for punch in the face metal but nothing has the cool vibe of this pedal. Thanks Joe!!1

you have to dial back the tone knob to 8-9 o'clock. that's where joe sets it. i've used it thru several high end amps and have always been satisfied. he put way to much r&d into this for it to suck.

I got a really really close Satch tone, with a fender blues junior and the satchurator, so you can quite easily get his tone out of this pedal, if you got a decent clean channel

What i'm saying is that you can quite easily reproduce his "old" tone (meaning "Surfing..." , or "Flying..."'s one.), because he's using quite "simple" gear. But he makes it sound awesome.

Question: is the pedal true bypass?I CANT STAND having battery life sucked away because I like to play through the pedal with it off, and then the next day, it wont produce any distortion because the signal ran through the processor all day, draining the battery life.

that being said, i just got a wampler ecstasy overdrive for 160, give or take, and its fantastic. I assume their distortion pedals (plextortion/pinnacle/triple recstortion) woould be much better.

i mean, i dont work for wampler or anything, im just pretty satisfied with the product. that being said, my other favourite overdrive is the vox v810 when i can get it to work.

Hmm, well what you first gotta know is; this pedal is for lead guitar ONLY, whatever anyone says this cant do anything but lead, BUT, it does lead guitar extremely well, in my opinion the tone is more like Bucketheads guitar than Joe Satrianis.

Not sure where you live but around 200$ you shoul be able to find it for.

distortion is the sound you hear when you listen to a lot of rock and metal or even country/blues players play. it allows the notes to lasty longer than they would when the guitar is what we call "clean". its an essential effect. this particular pedal is $129 us
