Our duty is to take care of each other?????? Who said so? and look how great that theory is working ....The Greeks are going crazy with the rest of Socialist regimes not far behind...the fact is Socialism Doesn't work.....show an example of a country where is does(with out a dictator if you please)
Talk about nonsense. You claim that the Tea Party does not care about anyone else? How is borrowing 40 cents on every dollar we spend helping the citizens of the United States? We don't want to tear down the govenment and nobody is buying that nonsense. We want to preserve our great nation from reckless people who only care about expanding/preserving their own power by making promises that can't be kept. You should be ashamed of yourself Rep McDermott!
@SailTCB Yes, how about RED STATES taking more from the federal coffers each and every year then their piss poor/corporate tax havens actually contribute. If SOCIALISM is good enough for Red States who can't carry their fiscal weight and actually pay for such things as the MILITARY they claim to love (but don't bother to help pay for) then it's good enough for anyone else. You don't want to tear the govt down, you just don't want to disrupt the free flow of FREE MONEY for conservative states.
@priorzola What does this have to do with red or blue states? You make as little sense as the fool who posted this video. The Tea Party is about fiscal responsibiliy for the entire United States, period.
Hard to understand why the New York Times gave the Tea Party rally so much coverage and credibility, while the Seattle Times declared it the beginning of the Tea Party's decline, only 300 people.
It really wasn't much of a rally. Half of the people there were Republican politicians pandering for what's left of their reactionary base. And the other half of the people there were complaining about govt expenditures even though it was clear, with one look at the crowd, that most of them live on Social Security and Medicare. Thanks Rep McDermott for calling the movement out for what it is.
