  • @BNSFandSP its not the only dome car. ALL coast Starlights have a Pacific Parlor Car.

  • Cool that you saw that dome car. The coast starlight runs only on the west coast.

  • usually, three or four sleepers & three coaches, one dinner, one lounge car &pacific parlour car.

  • @singwith You sorta got it wrong its 1 trans-dorm Slpr Three normal sleepers Parlour car. Diner Lounge three coaches. And a coach-baggage?

  • But way back when. The Pacific Surfliner back when it was still the San Diegan. Those Trains had long consists though. and the 13 cars on the back end. does bring back memorys of those times.

  • I haven't seen the Coast Startlight this long. In a long time. I can remember when it use to have up 18 cars in the early 90s.

  • Nope. Back in the early to mid 90s. Amtrak had Superliners and ex Santa Fe High Level coaches, diners and lounge Cars. The single level cars was long gone from the starlight.

  • I miss all single level coach cars. They look far better than bilevel cars.

  • Good video! All those cars on the end were from the discontinued reno fun train. Its a seasonal train operated by Amtrak.
