The 9/11 stuff inserted into this is not part of the original song. It isn't meant to be a part of this song... Kenny G made this Millennium version to show all that happened between 1900 and the year 2000, a look back at that past century while entering into a new one. Nice to remember 9/11, but do we need to drag it into everything? Eventually it will be just another day & nobody will do anything to mark it like with Pearl Harbor Day (most people you ask now probably don't know that date).

I heard it over the radio today, I had to stopped & listen each history carefully. It's done so well with the music.

When I was young, I used to wonder why my dad cries everytime this song comes out during New Year's Eve, now as I am older I realized why.

@gunsnr92 The reason why 9/11 sound bites weren't part of Kenny G's "Auld Lang Syne (The Millennium Mix)" is it's meant to reflect upon the events of the 20th century only. That's why I gave a thumbs down to this video that includes it.
