  • can it satisfy some human urges?

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS SHIT

    IT DOESNT DO ANYTHING

  • Hey, looks like the robot is bored. Reminds me of WALL·E, lol

  • What gripper did you use for that? Can I just pick one of them up somewhere?

  • @IDreamInCode I think the owner of the arm custom made the gripper, I really don't know . . .

  • Why re-invent the wheel with modern technology? I can think of a hundred more interesting options besides making a $25,000 robot perform a $2 watches job..

  • @KillaBeMe1 We weren't doing it to reinvent technology, we were doing it as a practice exercise to learn how to use more advanced technologies =P

  • Hows it able to detect the pieces?? Image Processing or knowing the location of pieces before itself .??

  • @evolutionsdisaster Everything is preprogrammed, no sensors.

  • That one at the end doing the LED "clock radio" style clock was pretty impressive. They're pretty darn impressive all of them really. Bet those Denso arms cost a bomb. Loved the one that knocked his pegs over when his gripper snapped open.

  • The led one was nice

  • this thing is smarter than most humans

  • A robot is only as smart as the human that programmed it, that said, this thing is a genius!

  • only smarter than humans on math. general feature on all machines.

i know it can read and type and all that crap too but its all based on math

  • which is human invention!

  • did i ever say it wasn't? -.-''

  • realy so if it so smart lets see it program itself.

  • your misspelling of the word "really" proves my point

  • that thing looked so silly, kinda cute xD

  • where can i get one of these robot arms and how much??, it is awesome!!

  • From Denso, buy used for only $25k each! Table mounts and safety cage not included =P

  • amazing accuracy too

  • awesome, ill take 2, one for spare in case to other breaks down :D :D :D

  • That's an amazing robot, especially it's speed, but WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THE MUSIC!?!?!? It's not 1940's... eek. Use some cool techno music or something.

  • Its Cajun music, and it's modern =P

  • Very good video :D. And the robot arm is great!

  • Good video

    and nice music lol

  • RESPECT FOR EVERYONE who was part of this work

you, the robots and video are GREAT XD...

  • this music rather oddly complements the robot.

  • that....was.....awesome...lol. and at first i had no idea what it was doing. then later on..it looked like it had a mind of its own....like it was processing what it was doing then it threw taht little block thingy on the table. =] cool.

  • if only it could be harnessed for evil instead of good

  • I have no idea what that robot just did. Or rather was programmed to do. It was so mesmerizing though, that one can only conclude that robots are awesome :)

  • has anyone drawn the big picture like here to eternity uuum

  • Friggin awesome.

    You've been Boing Boing'd too.

    :)

  • sweet!

appears I've also just been linked on blog.makezine too =)

  • if it can cook will have one.

  • a digital watch could resolve your problem

  • LOL

  • i no wat u use that robot for....XD ROFL

  • they look cool, and it was like it could read the numbers on the keyboard when it typed int he time

  • poor robots DX

  • its almost funny to watch. i could imagine a person doing this lol. it would be funny as hell

  • lol it messed up on 2:55 thats funny

  • It's programed to move every piece?

  • Yes and no. For some, such as making circles with parts, a single equation is used to do all pieces. For the rest, yes, each location was preprogrammed.

  • Love the last one, simulating the digital clock. Looks like they would be fun to program.

  • lol, i wouldn't mind haven't one of those next to me when i do my art, saves me looking up for different pencils, i could also have a hammer in its hand, and tell it to hit anything that comes near me or itself

  • This video simply demonstrates the usefulness of robotics in a manufacturing environment where there are a lot of repeated activities done in succession and with a specific degree of accuracy required.

  • what does it do

  • WTF dnnt gett whatt it is :S

  • its moving them around as if it was an animation on the screen. thats why it constantly picks up the one and moves it around the circle because its simulating the second hand ticking around

  • Great stuff, some very creative ideas.

  • esta chida la demostracion

  • i dont get it....wats with the music?

  • when u people think that the machines will be as complex as one human being?

  • never

  • the video is very good!!

  • cool video but wtf is this music? sounds like porno movie!!!! :S

  • yeah that's very cool!

  • what the hell the mucic is

  • LAME

  • Awesome!

  • So funny. In the future they will create the machine looks like Terminator which is working in the icecream shop.

  • cool

  • Awesome, BUT, My clock will do just fine lol.

  • omg robots > humans ;D

  • AHAHAHHAHAHA IT SPIKLLED IT IN 2:56!

  • cool video but wtf is this music? sounds like porno movie!!!! :S

  • pointless

  • Amazing !!!!
