  • you use non fat milk in the same recipe with heavy cream?.... Am I missing something? Why bother with non fat milk?

  • @Greengate777 non fat milk has a different taste and consistency, you can use any milk you like.

  • This is definitely different than the way my mom showed me, but I'm definitely going to try it, this version looks thicker for sure. One question, why are you using nonfat milk and then adding cream, instead of using whole milk? thanks

  • @hiespike cream adds a different flavor than whole milk :)

    My Mom is from Damascus,,you know they are the masters when it comes to the kitchen. Anyway,,she said that this is a very,very thick pudding :-)

  • @dedemed OK, after watching it again, the White Raisins are not bad. Sorry 'bout that. I just don't like the dark raisins especially in rice pudding. Looks like a great recipe!!!

  • @shapox heavy cream is a very fatty milk, it is the milk with the most fat content it is very thick :) the recipe will be up on my site this weekend.

  • Can you start of with precooked rice, and then adjust the liquids accordingly? If so, does it affect the taste?

  • @418608 Yes, definitely, just adjust the amount of liquid you add to cook the rice and continue with the recipe :)

  • the pistachio one looks the best to me. I might also try with apricots or dates. I think it's the orange blossom water that makes it special.
