Not sure about all roads, but major roads in Rwanda were actually built by the Chinese over 20 years ago! Worked in Gisenyi and Kigali back in 94/96 after the genocide...most beautiful country and people. HOpe to go back someday! Amahoro Rwanda!

Just dropped in again and this time I noticed that there are traffic lights at all junctions not just at the major ones. And there are also lamp posts throughout the entire stretch of road. GREAT STUFF!

Apparently they're going to. The government announced last August (2009) that soon they will dive on the left like other EAC countries.

Kigali is fantastic for having the best road system in what is soon to be the East African Federation.

And the good roads are thanx to president Paul Kagami

I am origanaly from UG which is north of Kigali, Rwanda and Kampala is much bigger but the roads are terrible.

Not even Niarobi, Kenya has roads that good.

Please keep up the great work Mr Kagami and spread it through and around East Africa :-P

Kigali is a great city, but you have to check out the country side. My favorite place was in Kibagora right on Lake Kivu.

I really must admit Rwanda has got good roads. Even Rwanda's roads are better than our polish roads.

I lived in Kigali from 1990 to 1994 (Left because of the genocide). This was simply priceless, (although you could have paned a little to your right once and a while, I would have seen our house, haha). Thank you for sharing this!
