This is a Good tip but what my grandmother told me years ago never failed and Ive told all my friends about it....MILK....yup! just poor a bit of milk directly on the blood(not just in this case but any blood on any fabric) if its alot then soak for a bit and the milk will be light pink and the blood off the fabric. works everytime

a better way is to wash them in hot water straight away, without soap at first. then when the blood stains come out, you then wash them properly in soap.
