I had a HIS 9600xt for about 4 years and it served me very well. It ran HL2 and CSS at 35-60fps with max settings 1280x1024 but struggled a little with Far Cry at 15-25fps at max settings 1280x1024. For it's time I'd say it was the equivalent of a 5750 of today. It cost about as much as 5770 back in the day too.

quite funny to mention: the 9600XT could run crysis at a playable framerate. the FX5700 ultra couldnt.

Fuck yeah I use to have Sapphire 9600XT ... then I went to Nvidia for 7900GS then I got my HD4870 sapphire.
9600xt was the bomb :D
