We have cranes migrating here too and flying over our house! I love their calls! And I hate humans who hunt any animal! We have to learn to live together in peace! Thanks for the video!

Beautiful, interesting video. I just saw a crane fly-in at the Lodi Sandhill Crane Festival in The San Joaquin Valley in California. We are fortunate that the cranes have made such a remarkable comeback over the years. Thank you farmers.
this is threaten species in Baluchistan, zhob, Pakistan it need emergency attation to protect crane, when this birds are flying over zhob during that time hunter hunting by net,and selling at in pan jab province,
It's nice to see the robot lady from those automated telephone systems finally found another gig, I know she recently had another robobaby so she's gonna need the cash.
Some of them do seem to acclimate to Florida. I ran a golf course here for 25 years, and in years past it was a thrill to have a few couples winter over. In recent years, we've had several families born and raised here. Migration now seems to mean spending a week or two on Philippi Creek, and then flying back to their lake on the golf course.
Yea, it's great some of us were able to do our part in getting them off then endangered list awhile back. The only problem is they are now to used to human contact which tends to be an issue. I had to stop two lanes of traffic the other day so a family of cranes could safely pass.
I do agree. It wasn't long ago that they were almost lost, and we cherished and protected each one. More than once, we stopped play on a golf hole because a pair were sauntering across it. In recent times, they've been known to hang out on the lawn behind the clubhouse, and I've walked up to within a few feet of them while they just stood and looked at me. It worries me, but at the same time it thrills me, knowing that they're no longer on the edge of extinction.
Same, we have about created a whole new type of crane as far as actions and mindset goes in our efforts to save the species. Cars are the number one killers of the birds from what I can see every other day. People just don't seem to care as they should on so many things not just a bird crossing the road but environmental issues as well. Sad and pathetic at the same time really.

We have a lot of them here in Florida as well. Some even maintain a permanent residence and decide not to migrate.
