  • I could see this work but the sets are pretty small dont you think?

  • Nice video! im sure by now your an expert man!

  • any tips for getting to the point where you can lift your own weight? I'm not fat but I am 220lb 5'11 so I need three times the strength that a normal person does.

  • @MrArrogoth for that one, look up static holds. Check out Planche Progressions as well as the L-Sit and Front Levers. Those along with Pushups (in all of their variations), Pull-ups (the real deal, palm forward, full range of motion pull-ups), Bodyweight Squats (just like regular squats but without the barbells) and running should get you into very good shape in a fairly quick amount of time. I started using the planche and front lever progressions my senior year and my bench max jumped 50lbs!!

  • @JPGuitarGuyFutrell thanks man

  • skillets good

  • me and my friend are training by ourselves just by climbing tree quickly and jumping down from high, crimbing fences roofs etc, its illegal cuz its other people propertie but thats like the main fun of it :p

  • ma where i live all we have to practice on is freaking playgrounds and ppl consider it wried to do this stuff

  • whispers in the dark <3

  • hey man,

don't let anyone discourage you from pursuing the training goals you develop for YOU in your own life - that's no one else's business

keep it up and in case you haven't already, perhaps consider consciously adapting your body with the concept of parkour in mind

    -ottawa parkour

  • @KR3WOW9 Yay for trolls...do not feed!

  • @KR3WOW9 shut up fat boy

  • @KR3WOW9 then again why are you watching this?!?

  • @KR3WOW9 Everyone go to this kids comment and give him thumbs down! shun the nonbeleivers!

  • Also, don't use gloves. Gloves don't provide much grip. your bare hands, believe it or not, are made to provide as much traction as possible, so use those.

  • For the pulls ups and dips. For the pullups, make sure you go all the way down, and bring your arms up as far as they'll go. And for the dips, make sure your upper arms are parallel with the ground. That's my advice.

  • lol i like u singing whispers in the dark at the end

  • one:

you lucky, lucky person! You've got so much stuff to practice on! I live in a village with next to naught to practice with!

    two:

I'm not saying I know anything much but when practising precision and the like try to regain your balance before going for the next jump, take your time around 2:30

    three:

gloves = bad. sure they give your hands some protection but in reality you lose quite some grip and also you lose the sense of touch which is key.

    awesome vid though!

  • More ROM on your Pull ups and Dips would help you out a lot. Whenever you are doing anything involving jumping or landing use the balls of your feet (Only saying as I saw a couple arch landings in the beginning, you looked ok for the most part) for Precisions you want to make sure you keep your back straight, keeping the natural curve, so that none of the force goes to your back, same for any landing, it's similar to a squat. Hope that helps and makes sense.

  • Haha learn to sing :P

  • Good video man, and the last part was original and funny XD...

  • so im just starting this and i bin jumping off stuff and rolling everysince i was in grade 4 but im 15 years old now and im doing the same things but im sure my legs are stronger so now im pretty sure im going to comit to doing this. so do i need to follow this video i dont have any of that stuff near my house so shouldi just do push ups and jump off my couches or somthing

  • @mikedude676767 Actually I wasn't a professional or even good enough to be called a skilled amateur. As for conditioning, try looking into Crossfit. A muuuch better workout than this one I made 2 years ago lol

  • i'm guessing by the time you finished making video of week 2, nike approached you about siging up with them. The rest is history. you sell out. come back and make more videossssss

  • @donhoe01 Haha I wish... I was not even remotely close to that level of skill. I actually joined the Army, so I wasn't able to make any more videos :(

  • i love the song. And thats awesome dude, im going to practice this

  • im going to break my face doing vaults

  • wheres week 2 haha?

  • @punkskater9090 hey im 14 to and i know what you mean cuz when i first started all i could do was a leap frog over a chest high trash can and for weeks i couldnt much just let ur body adapt. push yourself to the max can you do flips yet? if you want to see what i can do look at my channel in my favs there is a vid called parkour - urban saints thats my team adn im the kid at the beggining tell me what you think all rite good luck! peace

  • dude, theres no way that was ur first week!!! doing pole precisions is way to hard 4 beginers

  • Cool Vid. I think this is good for beginners as I am one. I like your ideas. That carpenters song is kind of creepy. I think it's cause I've only heard it in the movie 1408

  • lol what's with the end?

Made me feel like I had just eaten chinese food.

  • but the facking 1408 song out pleas

  • I'm sorry, I don't know what this means :(

  • :( it is suppose to be a sad face look closely

  • is there a week 2 viedo? and so on? how many days you practiced?

  • @sinappimies1 Onkos nyt hyvä mieli? :D

  • u could do all of this and not touch the rim wow

    dude but nice video

  • this dud e is the man

  • what type of clothes do you recomend for this?

  • I would say anything comfortable that's not too loose that it'd catch on anything, and nothing too tight that it'd restrict your movement...

  • so would u say. a loose tshirt and some sorta strackys or sweat pants?

  • Yeah. Just whatever is comfortable to you and won't distract you, restrict you, or catch on anything when you're practicing.

  • Everything looks good. Try lowering yourself all the way after each pull-up. It helps keep your muscles flexible. Keep it up.

  • Yeah I started doing this recently. Thanks for the tips everyone!

  • hey man, you should do 50 leg lifts and then 80-100 crunches, you generate most of your energy you put into everything through abbs otherwise good video. peace

  • Thanks. I started putting more core & leg exercises into my routines because of your comment =)

  • holy fucking shit u srious ur first week god dam thats to good for one week but wen ur kid u got faggy parents and you cant practrice much

  • haha but you have to keep in mind, when i made this video I was in ok shape and this was the end of week one. So I had already been practicing for about a week before I made this...

    good video!

  • hope youre keeping it up man!

  • nah this is just exercise practice just making everything better kinda like training not his first tho

  • wow youve only been doing it for a week? your really good

  • 2:31 - 2:56 Awesome Ifind that hard to do and i have done parkour for roughly a year

  • good but a little amutuer

  • read the description shithead

  • im just starting out, im gonna try this tomorrow- its a bit late now. Im always scared that im going to cane myself though. any tips?

  • i have been doing parkour for a whyle but i had tht same problem so what i done is i just do it with 1 hand first much easyer i think but then what i did is i put my hands on the bar or table or what ever ad jumped straght up and if your legs go higher than your rms you have nuthink to worry about i hope this helps lol good luck and pls no spam mail

  • I enjoyed your video. Are there any more from week 3 or week 4 etc?

  • i have just started to do the same thing

  • nice....this helps alot thnx

  • i found it easier to monkey vault by being able to the kong vault

  • When I first started, I used the table (the one I jumped over around 2:14). I would vault myself onto the table lengthwise (in the video I was vaulting the other way). That way even if my feet tapped the table I would just end up on the table. And after I could get on the table confidently, I would try to propel myself farther across the table.

At least that's how I started...

  • why carpenters

  • I really did it just for the line "we've only just begun"... plus all the parkour videos I've watched all have fast rock songs, so I wanted to change it up a little!

  • where do u liv?

  • Sorry for the late response! Ugh I've been so uninspired to parkour lately haha. Not very many do it where I live sadly. I live in Valencia, CA.. bout an hour from L.A.

  • lol, I live in Australia, and no-one does it in Hervey Bay haha

  • I am very impressed! I always find it better to look at peoples beginnings than their now states. You should feel very accomplished because you have a lot of techniques down buuutt... my only thing is your precisions you throw your body and lean too forward. Bring your knees up more and don't lean too forward you keep your back straight so you won't fall forwards.

Other than that great beginning and don't rush!

  • Your actually pretty good for it being your first week, nice balance on the rails. I can't even do that after nearly a year =P (haven't really trained for precisions, so at this rate, I never will be able to, lol) Good job, and I hope you reach your goal.

  • Im 13 and 5 foot 11, nearly 6 foot. And 135 i box... Am i over weight, nice training btw!

  • Overweight...? I'm 15 and about 5'10 and I weigh 160 lbs...lol, I wouldn't consider myself overweight. Alot of it is muscle for me, so if you box, you should be fine, lol.

  • really good man ! :)

    5*

    lg

  • Thanks!!

  • exactly how high do i need to jump and how far and how much do you wiegh

  • Well I'm not a pro or anything, but I just liked the idea of plyometric training. So I used the bench like football players use those boxes for jumping up and down off of.

I'm currently 155lbs... trying get lighter and leaner.

  • your actually pretty good.

  • Wow really? Thanks!

  • Nice video.

    I'm 3ft 7inches and I weigh 213lbs

    I'm fucked.

  • Eric Cartman

  • whoa...I'm under weight, I'm 6ft 1" and only weigh 152 lbs. I need to do a lot of work with weights.

  • you need to gain weight? I'm 17 in April and weigh 95lbs... Makes this sorta stuff hard

  • whoops, for some reason I typed my weight too high, its actually 143 lbs. && I'm 16, 17 in September. According to my BMI (Body Mass Index) I'm just under average for my height and age...lol

  • great vid and some really good conditioning techniques! One thing that isfun to do (althought not very practical) is to do a turn vault into a underbar. at about 2:45 you were doing some kong to precision and some turn vault to cats to cat etc... that is a cool place that you could just do a turn vault and instead of landing on your feet try to swing right through the gap and onto your feet on the other side. (i have not mastered this but i have completed some and they are lots of fun) try it!

  • hey man put my first video up :p it's only short and there's not much in it but we only had like 30 mins to film lol more coming though :) please check it out? /watch?v=nnahElY_7AA

  • I happen to actually way 145 can touch rim and am 5 10. So yeah just keep working out.

  • Damn, nice. You're lighter and taller! Argh haha

  • Great vid really good 5 stars. You did one thing wrong with your precisions you want to bring your legs up to your chest not necessarily that high but up, it will help later on. I know it's hard to get used to but when landing kongs and such land on one leg if it is not a precision, it will increase the flow. Again great vid if you want check out my new one. There are 2 of the same ones but one has sound one doesn't thanks to a technical error.

  • Ah thanks, I'll try to start implementing that into my technique. The pulling the legs to the chest is sometimes freaky for long precision jumps... just a weird thing not seeing your feet. But i'll practice it more now, thanks!

  • It is really hard to get used to I just told you this because I am still working on it. First I would start working on it on flat ground at the end of the precision you want to squat low when connecting with the ground and stay in the squat to get balance than stand. if doing right it should minimize the noise made, allot.

  • well done mate keep training hard and keep up the conditioning you'll get there! you've got pretty good technique well done! XD

  • Thanks for the support! I'm refining my techniques and want to learn a new one before I release the next vid XD;

  • awesome i'll be keeping an eye out for it ;)

  • Great thanks
