  • References to these studies, carefully conducted randomised control trials were they? Asthma kills, be cautious of believing this actually helps. real asthma treatments (inhalers) have very extensive proof that they work. Before these treatments amny more people died from asthma, too many still do unnecessarily through poor control

  • thank you for the video ,definitely will teach my 7y old son hopefully it will help,he got it after tonsillitis, and i found inhaler makes it even worse. I dont want to use any chemical medications anymore.

  • has anyone tried this? does it work? if so what regimen did you follow?

  • @mpjbay i tried it, at first you still need to use your medications, but after a week of constant excercise, you feel better and start decreesing the use of the enhaler.

  • @aliceihm great thank you for the response. i have been using the buteyko technique and it seems to work pretty well. i sort of do the exercises when i think about it but i will try this one out. :)

  • Thanks KriyaNath Yogi - this is a great exercise. It reinforces the message that asthma is a result of things we do rather than what happens to us. Changing our breathing can change our asthma - both for better and worse.

  • This feels so right! Thank you for sharing :-)

  • The Buteyko Method is a drug free breathing method that eliminates asthma symptoms without side effects. Buteyko Center USA is now offering a free download of the Asthma Cure Manual until the end of August, 2011, don't miss this opportunity! Visit Buteyko Center USA online to learn more about this technique or call at 1.800.520.3450, breathe gently!

  • Greetings.. I have some questions.. what is this method actually doing? Is it to reduce residual volume or is it some form of diaphragmatic exercises? I'd appreciate your commentary on the physiological functions.. thanks so much!

  • I have asthma, should I do these breathing exercises before I do weight training workouts? I was just wondering if it would help at all.

  • Hello I'm new to running I have been just laying around in front of a tv and playin video games for the past 10 years yeah i know its pretty sad right?, anyway I have found when i try to run I only get about a quarter mile before I feel this shortness of breath with and my lungs wheeze and when trying to do your excercises upon exhaling all the way out i am coughing alot. I was told I probably have become a "shallow" breather and need to work my mucles in my lungs what do you think? thanks.

  • Thank you guruji. I am asthmatic. I am on allergy immunotherapy for asthma and rhinitis.

I am on steroids and nebulisers. I will do this daily and post back periodically. I had a pneumonia attack and blood poisoning 3 months back. I live in fear of winter. I will keep you posted.

    Thank you again.

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to pass on this extremely valuable information in the video and for making it available to the general public.

As someone who is presenting with chronic rhinitis and productive mucous on a daily basis with chronic bronchial asthma I can say that this has really helped me.

I noticed an improvement instantly. The breathing technique removes mucous from the lungs and clears the airways.

    Thanks again.

  • Thank you for sharing the valueable.

  • makes me light headed lol

  • how effective is this really? like i have asthma and just watching him do this hurts to even think about doing this.

  • Thank you so much for this demonstration. I am going to try it soon.

  • What is the purpose for pulling your lips in a inward direction?? And how many times a day should this be done ??? Please reply .. i SUFFER from ASTHMA !!!!!

i CAN'T DO GOOD IN MY RUNS and I even have a hard time breathing while eating sometimes..

    Anyways thanks for helping !!!!!!!!!!

  • This practice should be done twice a day regularly for best effect -- it will take several months to retrain the respiratory muscles. With the mouth slightly open, the lower lip is pulled in slightly and so the upper lip is in front of the lower lip when one forcefully exhales -- this creates a negative pressure or vibration in the lungs which helps to clear mucus and keeps the lungs more open during the practice.

  • It sets up your palate in the proper way to breath deeply into your diaphram. :)

  • i have the same prob, man,i feel u.

  • @AustrichePoetCafe Pranayama is a science that has been used for centuries. Our bodies haven't changed much over the past thousand years. Why reinvent the wheel?

  • what istheDifrente between Asthma and Emphysema ?

    Videodan5

  • Emphysema is a lung disease caused by exposure to toxic chemicals and the lung is physically damaged permanently.

Asthma is recurrent condition with blockage of the breathing channels caused by a variety of situations such as allergies or emotional stress.

  • hey on your vid... um do you do part 1,2,3 all in one session twice a day or part one in one session twice a day and eventually build up to part 3?

  • Seven repetitions in each session, and two sessions per day. It is best if the sessions are before breakfast in the morning, and before dinner at night. If done regularly, you should see the effect after three months.

  • @KriyaNathYogi you do each exercise 5 times right? thats 5 times 3 =15 total times, and you do that 7 times? which equals 105 times? im not understanding

  • Is there a certain amount of times a day this should be practiced?
